Astra BVR air to air missile launched from LCA Tejas

The Light Combat aircraft Tejas has successfully launched the Astra Air to air BVR missile off the Goa coast. The missile is added to its existing arsenal of weapons. The successful launch of this missile is also important as the missile has also been considered for export to Brazil for integration on the Gripen.
