    I love the box method for storage of pushrods and head bolts. I’ve always used a flat piece of cardboard and never thought about using the box which would make a nice storage unit for parts that can’t be put in the cardboard.

    Nice work - it's never easy, but you'll get there in the end! :)
    I like your technique of the cardboard box for retaining the head bolt patterns/push rod positions - :)
    Keep safe and well.

    Ouch! This turned into a big job. At least you have a head start on removing sleeves :) The block is going to need a good bath to remove the metal filings.

      Yeah I was starting to wonder if I wasted money on a sleeve puller lol
      It's going to need a lot of cleaning
      And it's supposed to start snowing/raining tomorrow so we will see what gets done.
      Thanks for watching!

    I was really surprised when the sleeve popped out, I was not expecting that

    • @ImaginaryMachines
      @ImaginaryMachines  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That makes 2 of us lol
      I believe the pistons were so tight coming out because there was a build up of carbon around the top of the sleeves which made it a tight fit for the rings to pass through.
      I got my new sleeve puller today and I hope the rest come out as easy!
      Thanks for watching!

    Well, looks like I'm right behind you. I hope you don't mind me tagging you in a video for some "do's and don'ts"? I just notice some antifreeze in my oil today on my 410D. :(

    Hi, I have the same model here in Europe and water gets in the oil sump and forms a gray emulsion with the oil. Where do you thnik the problem is ? Cylinder sleeves ? How can i test for sure ?

    • @ImaginaryMachines
      @ImaginaryMachines  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry for your troubles, is there oil in the water? Normally the oil will get into the water since the oil is higher pressure. It almost makes me think of the O-rings on the sleeves but I can't say for sure and I don't know of anyway to check.
      There is a forum called www.heavyequipmentforums.com/ there is a lot of information on that site and people that really know these machines a lot better than me.
      I hope it's a simple fix!
      Thanks for watching!

    How do I remove the fuel tank?

    • @ImaginaryMachines
      @ImaginaryMachines  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I just removed the heavy front grill/guard on the front end with the fuel tank in it, we never removed the fuel tank from the grill/guard assembly. I'm thinking it was just a few bolts, fuel line and a wire or two and we lifted it off with a loader cause it is heavy!.
      Good luck on your project, and let me know if you have any other questions

    hi, I just bought a 410 and the key when turned to the right and running, the left light on the dash is on. I went to turn the key off and it turned past what I thought was off, the machine kept running adn the light went off.
    So whats up with the key turning both ways and whats the light for? thanks

    • @ImaginaryMachines
      @ImaginaryMachines  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, congrats on the 410, hope it last a long time for you!
      Honestly I do not know what is with the key switch, I turn mine to the right when starting/running and vertices (straight up and down) when it is turned off. I do not know what turning it to the left does.
      If your machine doesn't shut off with the key then you could have a bad shut-off solenoid.
      The lights on the dash are oil pressure and a charging light.
      The lights should come on when you turn the key on but they should go off when it starts.
      Good luck with your machine!
