We would recommend at least 8mm. You may also want to consider a plyometric rubber roll. It has a bit more cushion to it than normal rubber gym flooring does. For example, this product www.greatmats.com/products/plyometric-plyorobic-rubber.php
Will the shockblock help absorb sound in a room from transferring downstairs? Thinking of doing my condo living room in these so I can watch my TV a bit louder without disturbing my neighbors. Think they would help?
The ShokLok would help with sound, however is a high VOC/odor flooring option since they use sulfur during the manufacturing process. I would recommend a foam flooring instead. www.greatmats.com/mats/foam-floor-mats.php or www.greatmats.com/products/home-sport-play.php
I'm about to purchase the pelotan tread plus. It will be in my basement on a concrete floor so I'm not worried about the floor finish being ruined. Which mat would be best for this? I'm told by the salesperson I need a pad that won't roll up under the treadmill when it increases the incline.
8mm tiles should be sufficient for protecting the floor from heavy bag use. Be advised that although we have not had this problem with our customers, we have heard of some cases of the rubber tiles damaging the finish of the wood floor.
These mats can be cut top to bottom using a sharp utility knife. If you are referring to making a 3/4 inch mat 3/8 inch thick by cutting it, we don't recommend trying that.
This would not be a great surface for grappling as the rubber is quite hard and grippy. We'd recommend our Grappling MMA mats for that purpose. You can find it and other good option for grappling at www.greatmats.com/martial-arts-mats.php

The 8mm tile is not odorless. And the friction of the tile is a huge turnoff. Better get the ones that has nice a smooth surface

Do you have reducers or small ramps for 1/4 of an inch or 3/8 of inch tiles or rolls?
We do not have reducers for that thickness of rubber tiles or rolls.
