packaging is so overlooked! As a label that signs young artists most of the time signing with us is the first time they've ever done a physical release. Def gotta sit them down and show them a CD or tape in hand. A lot of times they don't even consider that a CD has a backside that needs art!

Back in the 90s, I collected cassette tapes. I had crates and crates of them ( a local market would give me the crates that their loaves of bread were delivered in). These crates were how I organized, stored, and displayed them. I have to admit that I bought music from a lot of unknown or lesser known artists and bands based on the album artwork. Even now as a producer, when I feel like making some sample-based Hip-Hop music, a lot of the bands that I grab more often is the ones whose album art catches my eye.

Such great timing for me. Thank you! I am right now designing for my first ever single release, with three more singles until May when my album releases on Vinyl and CD. Thanks for the great info! Wish me luck 🙏
