They get very territorial this time of year. I saw a pair of Moorhens fight to the death once. One drowned the other. Not pleasant! I suspect that extreme is quite rare. The bird got cornered against a steep bank.
Giles Diggle Very interesting! I din't know they can be so aggressiv! I think you saw something really special. Sometimes it is also nice to watch the animals, even if you can't film them ;). But this video is also very exciting.
