Slam dunk's theme songs followed me thru CDs to USB memory sticks to my hopping from iphones to androids and back to all my yearly iphone handset upgrades. That is how special this anime is to me. He's actually 3rd vocalist in this band. It's hard to explain the member change, but Sho Uesugi was the original vocalist when this band was originally formed in 1991. Despite million singles hit, Sho admitted that this musical genre wasn't the style that he wanted (back in the days, Japanese music productions needed pop style to aim million sales) because he was more punk -ish musician.
