  • In this video, I share my personal experience of living alone as a woman in the Philippines. While there are some challenges and unavoidable negative experiences, I believe that the Philippines is still a safe place to live independently. I also compare my time living alone in Vietnam to give you a broader perspective. Plus, I offer some practical tips for anyone considering solo living in the Philippines or elsewhere. Whether you're thinking about moving here or just curious about what it's like, I hope this video provides valuable insights!

You speak English so well, how common is it for people in your area to speak English as fluently as you do?

Thank you so much! English is actually widely spoken here in the Philippines. It's one of our official languages, and we're taught it from a young age in school, so many Filipinos are fluent or at least conversational. That said, proficiency can vary depending on where you are in the country or how often people use it in their daily lives. I’ve been fortunate to practice it a lot, especially through media, work, and travel. 😊
