    Fantastic explanation mate. It's great you took the extra few moments to explain how the conversion equations can be derived, easier then just trying to remember formulas.

    the book from Canada that I am studying from has a different approach. instead of r it uses p. I found out that it is rho. so it is really the same whether p or r. but where he uses theta , my book uses phi.

    I don't understand why my lecture didn't even bother to explain the 2 different ways of representing coordinates. Why is it hard for them to say things like this?
