Those are the things that, for better or worse, took YT by storm, and they deserve a spot in YTR for that. Instead, we got Will Smith, k-pop, football, and "we are so inclusive" pandering. Yes, they put Fortnite, Starman, Bongo Cat, and Yodeling Kid; but that's not even 7% what happened this year in YT (except Fortnite).
I feel like most of the internet culture we know this year is not originally from TH-cam, and TH-cam mostly had trouble trying to do Rewind as more creators are focusing on other platforms. But I mean, they should do a better job for Rewind because for 2018 rewind they say they’re are trying to appeal to everyone, but fail to do so.
There would have been some somewhere, even if I myself didn't see it. There's not even that much drama now, to be honest - we just focus on it more, it seems.
This is almost 10 years old. We should share this around to remember the good times. When we weren't trying to rip each other apart and were just having real content and chill vibes.
2013 is what i say one of the best year of my life so far even if my parents break up. i benefit more than i imagined since i have much more freedom to than my parents(i was being cared by my grandma and my father visits me every weekend and he is super strict but my mother is just enough strict but she needs to rent a room since her workplace is far than home) and my mind prospered a ton that im happy, smart, and mentally healthy.

There has been drama for years - the earliest I remember was around 2007 and another in 2010, and yes it was on TH-cam. I think the reason why the recent rewinds are a bit bad is because TH-cam wants it to be advertiser friendly and that's not a good sign.
I feel like they may have needed time to figure out what to actually make so they rushed that out in an attempt to not make something completely awful
