I must be in a Tyranitar mood, because I have questions about a couple of Tyranitar. First, have you ever seen a deck built around Tyranitar GX, such as in SUM-LOT? Second, I would love to see your other 2010 Tyranitar list--the one built around Tyranitar from Stormfront--and to learn a little more about it (I'm guessing you still rely on the beat stick attack rather than the spread attack against non-Jumpluff decks?). I just love Stormfront Tyranitar. I got a theme deck holo one for cheap on TCGPLAYER and added it to my cube back when I still used it (It was big enough for 4 players, but I only ever played it with my brother, and the Tyranitar was one of the few stage 2's that wasn't a proxy, which a higher percentage of stage 1's and basics being actual cards).
@Charmaster04 Tyranitar GX was a deck called Dusty Ruckus in SUM-LOT, theorized to be okay but the card is just super mid overall while sharing Fighting weakness w zoroark. Tyranitar SF is not very good, just rely on the beatstick to ohko low HP guys like LuxChomp stuff and have darkrai to try and ramp for KOs. I'm considering just putting alakazam mt back in the deck since it's much more useful than darkrai most of the time
@@WhimsicottTCG Well, I guess I shouldn't have been expecting it to be as good as Tyranitar Prime, but I just love the reactive nature of the card. Maybe some day I'll use it in the context of a cube again. Let me know when you find a list you're satisfied in. As for Tyranitar GX, how mid are we talking? Below tier 3 mid? Is there a list you could point me to for that deck?
@Charmaster04 probably below tier 3 but maybe with a really good list it could be tier 3. The only time I saw it built was in the mellow magikarp sumlot tourney
@@Charmaster04 yeah the Tabletop Village SUM-LOT gauntlet tourney never being completed is what made me do my own (also the Meganium decks they picked weren't the two good ones)
