  • Hi everyone. Today I repair a Mercedes Benz AMG E63 with a common problem, ( aside from the turbo cooler lines ) is the heater hose coupler located on the back of the driver side cylinder head. This is a common problem for these engines regardless of what vehicle they are installed in. I believe mostly 2012 to 2014. Correct me if I’m wrong. When you remove the original part, it looks like they were almost going to make this some sort of an electronic activated valve. And the fix for this is a similar version, but a little bit slimmer without the added heft. The fault of the original part is where Mercedes has a top portion which looks like was intended for some electronics which never happened. Where the top portion was crimped on and that’s where the failure occurs. It separates. The original valve is quite heavier than the replacement part. The new revised replacement version does not have this. So sit back relax and enjoy the repair. I hope this video enlightens owners of these vehicles of this common Mercedes problem.
