Inflation eats away at idle funds. Saving nearly 65% of our household income, we focus on safer investments and living within our means. With investments and additional income, living off dividends becomes possible. With over $300K in my portfolio from prior dividend stock purchases, I continue to buy, especially during drops.

I first came across investing in the market in 2019. Already stashed about $80k in savings then, and the free money from the Government was pouring in, increasing inflation rate. I just got an advisor and kept the money there, just because I didn't want to keep the value of the money depreciating in the bank. Tbh, it's the best investment decision I've made since then.

How about cutting down our bloated Defense Budget instead cutting down on Social Programs ??? In my 74 years as an American, I've seen this nation WASTE untold Trillions on our War Machine, yet National Security hasn't improved at all. Close down American military bases around the World and cut back on foreign aid. I want an America for all the people, and not just for the Military-Industrial Complex.

Cut the spending and at least try to balance the budget. Ask yourself, how much more inflation can you afford?

The fundamentals of “fiscal management” does not apply to the US Government. Mismanagement of tax funds and a large government contingent of employees, investigate this for savings.

another dirty little secret about inflation no one really addresses... when there is a sales tax, the local govt makes more because sales taxes are percentage based so you pay more in taxes when inflation happens. it's not just the cost of the item. that should outrage people. the local sales taxes should lower during extreme inflation.

Congress has a gambling problem and we know what eventually happens to gamblers. This is mismanagement of our tax dollars and taxation without representation. This is what corrupt governments do all the time,we all know this and have talked about this forever. There is a government class in this country and this is what they do,no accountability.

"You have to talk about entitlements because it's 2/3 of the budget."
Yes, it is and yes you do... IF you have any kind of courage that directs you to tell the brutal truth instead of a comforting lie.
This country is being spent into abject national poverty, yet most of our politicians are absolutely blind to this fact.

Increasing taxes and a growing government is the same as diluting freedom.

It’s a tax on the working class who don’t get their mortgages subsidized, tax write offs on kids, too big to fail bailouts, …. You know, the property class.

The "secret of inflation" is that it is always and only created by government intervention and MORE government intervention is NOT what's needed to help any citizen. Freedom is what a healthy economy thrives under, not control.
