An ILS is an approach that does not need to be flown only by the autopilot. The track to follow, both vertically and horizontally is shown on the primary flight display in front of the pilot. So what Inge did is disengage the AP and fly the ILS (if it was an ILS, probably was) manually, following the indications of the flight director. Disengaging the AP does not mean that you are flying by the seats of your pants. And yes, it is good practice if the company you fly for allows it.

Disengaging the AP does not mean that you are flying by the seats of your pants. And yes, it is good practice if the company you fly for allows it.
Very good approaching ,Mam.
Salute to pilots for the safest travel
Kind of just flew it into the runway. A bit rough from what I saw.
That's Inge. There are videos of her and her co-pilot Claudia flying the Lufthansa MD-11. Good landing by the way!
I thought that was her. she's one of the best.
Definitely Inge. That voice is unmistakable.
@Steveness stiffler I'm sure calling her Minge will definitely get you in there. Women love that shit.
@Steveness stiffler somehow I doubt it, old chap.
Nice captain with nice aircraft. MD11 is a beauty.
Wow they really bounce around up there. It’s always pretty smooth in the passenger seating.
Inge flys cargo, so no passengers...
It was a harsh landing ...
Is it a md11 or dc10 ...?
Thanks jp .
She landed the aircraft safe and sound and that should matter the most! Always bumpier from cockpit angle cuz front tires are almost right underneath the cockpit hence the distorted view per comments below- but the captain landed rather safely, nevertheless! Kudos

We haven't seen stunning pilot's face ?
How can we say she's is stunning ?
At least give a appreciable title of video
Good video. Pilots must have steady nerves. Folks in transportation alert. All transportation. My granddad was a train engineer for 20 years. He had to know what he was doing at all times. He had to keep control of the train at all times.
How many years of hard work did it take to make it look easy?
I really Believe The female pilot.Congrats ma'am, always keepsafe and Godbless you.💖💖💖😍
Its not about male female
Its all matter of technology
One kid who is trained can do so

MD 11 was a great airliner. 3 engines. My favorit. And 747... Two aircraft with History
