For UTG vs. LJ 3 bet example - is the reason you raise AKo because you block aces and kings and want to take it down preflop? And then the reason you would call more with AKs is because you block and you’re more likely to be ahead in a flip?
I think that's a lot of the reasons. Also, AKs plays better multi-way because it coolers smaller flushes sometimes whereas AKo doesn't nearly as often. It is interesting though!
Regarding open limping, does that change when you're the bb and there is a 2bb button straddle? For example, you have K10o which is a fold EP but a good enough to put in a raise LP. With 1bb, already committed, does it make sense to open limp with the bottom portion of your range? This is a common scenario and my local casino with lots of limpers who don't normally get punished. Any input is appreciated!
Just my 2c, but you certainly want to limp with a wide range of hands in these scenarios - you're just putting in one big blind to see the flop and potentially flop a monster. You don't want to raise with marginal hands and reopen the betting, and with such a great pot odds, folding doesn't make sense. So, unless you know that the straddle is someone who likes to squeeze a lot, I'd say that limping in these scenarios is fine. There is something to be said about raising and trying to pick up the pot, but in low stakes live games, it usually doesn't work, i.e. one or two limpers are probably going to call anyways and you'll end up playing a bloated pot out of position, so I usually reserve that for the strongest portion of my range and just limp with the rest of it, looking for good flops.
I am having trouble with my betsizing, i am not sure how much i should bet in many situations . I play 1/2 I mostly go by 1/2 pot for my raise , and 3x for 3 bets . My fri i mostly go 4x and add 2bb per limps
This is reasonable. At 1/2, I would recommend to go $8 preflop when opening action, adding 1bb/limp, 1 limper = $10 raise, 2 limpers = $12 raise, etc. For 3-bets, I would go with 3.5x for 3-bets when you're in position and 4.5x when you're out of position. GLGL in your games!

STOP LIMPING PREFLOP!!!!! It is the biggest consistent mistake I see among small stakes cash game players, and it happens constantly!
What about limping a big hand because there is a loose agro maniac that always puts in the raise? Then we can 3 bet and trap.
