The year was 2002 and I was in the middle of my Sophomore year in high school. Adult Swim was brand new and I loved the shows they had. One night, they broadcasted a lineup of pilot shows, including Evan Dorkin's Welcome to Eltingville. I was digging that the show was about nerd culture but what really got me were the Intro and Ending Themes. It was a mix of ska and Batman '66 and I loved it. I stayed up all night to catch the re-run so I can see the credits for the band. It flashed by in a second and all I muttered was "...aqua...boats?" And that's how I became an Aquabats fan

@@professorsponge1554 well we don't know that for sure, all we know is he left to see if he can get his girl back. The story ends on a downer note, the cartoon softened some hard edges, and might've changed the ending a bit.
It’s pretty good. However it does go a bit too far in my tastes. With current day Hollyweird running about ruining beloved ips I doubt they’ll do it justice.
the pilot who justifies the bullying to geeks
Dude I am a proud nerd, but holy shit, now I understand why no one like us xDDDD
Holy shit! I never thought of that! So the bully’s in this universe are actually heroes and the geeks are villain!? THIS IS JUST LIKE DC EARTH 3!
As someone who is a fan of almost everything i can tell you.....yeah nerds are straight up awful people haha
Not the representation nerds wanted, but the representation they deserved.
And the comic as well
Their angry faces staring into your soul just makes it so funny!
