If I'm going to take a stab at this with a few verses, I guess the "Sticking needles in her skin" is a metaphor for the industry still trying to achieve that (financial) high by doing the same shit over and over again (like a drug user) in terms of marketing the most blase, bland musical acts imaginable (Swift, Justin Bieber, etc.). "Turning with an ugly grin" could be Slipknot's muted reaction to seeing the rapid decline of said industry. You never know.
