Hi @0033mer I have been watching your videos testing the range of the E32 LoRa Ebyte Modules and I wanted to ask you if you think it would be possible to establish 10km radio link using E22 Ebyte Modules in the 868MHz band to transmit and receive the data collected from the sensors by an esp32. In one of your videos you showed that you reached a distance of 4km (2.5 miles) but I wonder if that distance or even a longer one (until 10km) can be achieved with the E22 modules since the datasheet says the distance reachable is around 5 km. Would it be possible to reach that 10km distance simply using higher gain antennas or are there other factors to take into account?
To get the advertised range as indicated in the data sheet, the two nodes have to be in visual line of sight and radio line of site which usaually does not happen. For more range consider a repeater which the E22 series is capable of. You can use multiple repeaters to get any range you want. Check out this video: th-cam.com/video/zMjA_s30G2I/w-d-xo.html
Sounds as if Lora has a cold 😃. Nice tutorial👍🍀🍀🍀. Glad to know Lora, still have to inbed it in my brain for a later moment. Thanks FM🍀👍
You’re welcome 😊
Very interesting project. I have never played with LoRa radio, maybe it's time to start.
That looks familiar. :) Great video, Ken.
Thanks again!
