    At 17500 in my turbo arrow, I reached 252 knots nonstop from KLAL to KFRG. Absolutely incredible. Thanks for sharing.

    I got 264 knots in my Cirrus SR22TN on my flight from KISM to W29 last year! It was an amazing experience to go over 300 mph in a small plane

    Coming off three days of cross country tripping in a Cirrus I particularly enjoyed your video today. It is great to see how you use the Perspective + during the various phases of flight. It’s fun to compare and take notes

      @@TheRenBaron Nothing quite as glamorous as your trip: KVNY - KCRQ, KCRQ - KSBA, KSBA - KRNO, KRNO - KSBA, KSBA - KVNY. But still a great variety of flying including challenging terrain and weather in and around KRNO. Always great learnings.

    Great video. I assume you were given a the Centerpoint Two Arrival sometime during cruise. You were told to cross Beney and that was not on the original flight plan. Entering an arrival would have been a great learning opportunity. Thanks again.

    • @TheRenBaron
      @TheRenBaron  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is correct although I got that instruction while the cameras were off unfortunately. Good eye though!! Entering the arrival is exactly the same procedure as entering the approach. I've posted some other videos where I load an arrival. On the Las Vegas to SMO videos the Kimmo 3 Arrival is part of the FP. Thanks for posting. Cheers-Ren

    Great video. Do you often file route advisor or direct or your own route? That might be a conversation of interest in a future video. Where is the next big adventure?

    • @TheRenBaron
      @TheRenBaron  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I typically use route advisor when I’m flying IFR. ForeFlight makes it easy. Thanks for posting. Cheers-Ren

    Oh those tailwinds!!!! Thanks for sharing! Hey did you have to take any training for oxygen? I was just wondering considering all of my oxygen training up till now came from youtube :)

    • @TheRenBaron
      @TheRenBaron  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No training per se. Oxygen system is built into the plane. You just turn the system on at 12K. We did add an on-demand O2 conserver to stretch the O2 supply. Works fine unless you set it to manual (which I inadvertently did on this leg) in which case the oxygen goes away at normal speed instead of getting 3X more mileage.

    Isn’t that speed beyond the maximum speed recommended for this aircraft?

    • @TheRenBaron
      @TheRenBaron  ปีที่แล้ว

      Max speed rating is based on indicated airspeed.

    Can you deploy the parachute over 200 knots?

    • @TheRenBaron
      @TheRenBaron  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not recommended above 140 kias although there have been successful CAPS deployments at higher speeds. Thanks for posting. Cheers-Ren

    Listening to you talk on the radio *is not entertaining!* I want to see outside (pilot POV) the aircraft, not the back of your heads. Step your game up!

    • @TheRenBaron

      First off thanks for posting. If you don't mind me offering a little editorial advice...you could do better on the tone of your comments. It's a little 'heavy' pardon the pun but I'm interested to hear your perspective. These videos were made more from a pilot's pov than for entertainment value. But, I'd love to SEE a couple of examples of videos that you find entertaining so I can step up my game. Post a couple of links here and help me out. Cheers-Ren
