Hi Asia! For the mold, I put cinnamon on the soil when I plant them as a preventative and it is a game changer. For the existing mold, you can try spraying rubbing alcohol from a spray bottle on the soil. Don’t soak it through the entire plant as it will kill the plant. Lastly, running the fan will help strengthen your plants as well as help with the mold (synthetic wind lol)! Having the fan will also help with any fungus gnats. For any new gardeners, if you have a plastic dome over seedlings, remove the dome after the seed has sprouted. Keeping it on is a recipe for mold and leggy plants. They only need the humidity to sprout :). Love your videos! Watching this just after I picked out my seeds for the year.
You've really inspired me and I decided to try raising quail. The eggs are only on day 2 in the incubator but I'm more excited to see them hatch than my kids are lol
I water my seeds with a sippy cup! You just fill with water and don't completely twist the lid on, so it's loose enough for air to help the water flow. Try it! You'll love it.
Hey Asia! We had some leggy seedlings last year too, and like you, fixed them by planting them deeper. They turned out great. You couldn’t even tell they were leggy to begin with lol 😅. Great video!
Hopefully the cinnamon works out. If not, Walmart has onion sets as well as potato and sweet potato seeds. I purchased some in Henrico, Va. Hope you have an amazing weekend.
You and I have a very similar approach to gardening! I absolutely love your attitude toward how to garden and how you do what works for you! When I watch your videos, I feel like I’m watching mine! 😂😂 Keep up the great work! 🙏🏽
I am a visual learner and enjoy your videos, because you show us step by step how to manage the plants properly and take care of them during the season. This will be my third year gardening and thanks to you my first time winter sowing. I got 10 empty jugs for free from Starbucks (just ask & they will hold them and call you that evening to pick up). I live in Long Island, New York , zone 7B. Going to start herbs, green onions and pollinator flower varieties first. The next sweep do “spring sowing” and plant peppers and tomatoes in additional jugs in early March. I prefer to sow plants outside this year , will experiment to see how the spring sowing goes. I have my seeds ready for planting. The rest of my root vegetables I will direct sow when the weather is around 50 degrees. You are doing a fantastic job! So glad you are happier after leaving that stressful job! I hope that 2025 brings you more subscribers and 💰! You deserve it! God bless you and your family! 😃🙏🏾❤️
Hello Asia!!! Happy to report that I have ordered my seeds for this year and I did use MIGardner. As a beginning outdoor gardener you have taken some of the anxiety out of getting started. So glad to see you doing what makes you happy.
I’m trying to start early this year, Asia. Everything was so late maturing last year, so I’m going to start my cold hardy plants now. I am also trying the hydroponic plants like arugula , lettuce and the Tiny Tim tomatoes. My stuff is in a cold garage. I really hate the cold, so I drag my feet to check on them. Come on Spring!
Hi Asia, you can just spray those aphids off with water or soapy water… that will get rid of them. That’s all I do outside. I had some on my sweet potato slips I’m growing & just rinsed them down the drain with warm water, then ran hot water with the garbage disposal on. Hope this helps.
Hey Asia! You got a lot done. You go, girl!😂 I will start my winter sowing next week. I refuse to grow anything inside😂 Using cinnamon is supposed to also help with gnats. Thanks for sharing!😊
Asia, thank you! I now know how to fix my leggy. I love all your videos! If it was not for you I prob would not have started my winter sowing, and waited a little longer to plant. My first time winter sowing, and they all look good. Thanks ❤
Will you do a winter sow in your new seedling pots to see if it can be done. Plus your review will help me and others decide to purchase or not. I really want to see 😂
I created a new setup for my seed starting in my garage. I usually take up the whole dining room. I tried winter sowing before but maybe I should try again and not give up. Seem like an easy approach
Hey Asia! So happy to be starting my seeds along with you! I enjoy your very informative content! I have comfrey but their not fully established however I do have dried comfrey and and roots I’m wondering if I can make a strong tea on the stove let it steep for about a month and use it as fertilizer let me know if you have ever done this.
I started my peppers this week too. I’m actually behind because my last frost is March 1st 🤦🏾♀️. But better late than never 😂😂. I enjoyed watching as always!!!
morning Asia love the video i use the fish fertilizer you use love the video i am not planting yet doing the paper thing so i know what i want to plant
Thank you for another good video. I'm located 7b NYC (just for reference). Last year I started my peppers around now and decided to start a couple weeks later since they took over my house lol. Did you mention the size pot you used for your peppers? I may have missed it. Thank you
Hello, I really enjoyed watching your video. Could you tell me where you got your colored pots and trays. also what size are they? I would like to purchase some for my plants. Thanks
Girl 😂 COTYLEDON 😂😂😂 Also, I’ve heard that a 10 minute soak in hydrogen peroxide will speed up pepper germination. I’m gonna try it this year. I struggle with making drainage holes in the plastic, so I got a cheap tool from Walmart. Either a wood burner tool or a soldering iron. They melt the plastic and make a perfect hole that won’t rip or tear. I have a bunch of old cinnamon so I’m gonna try that. And yeah, there are different types 😉 depends on where they come from, but I think what we get in the store is just one kind
Hi Asia, i have carpal tunnel syndrome and reynauds. My hands can not handle the cold. Worse as i get older. Did i notice you had on gloves that were lit up? Does that mean they are warmed 😮. Please, if so, drop me a link. Please. My hands hinder my fall and spring gardening.
Home Depot and Walmart sells “hand warmers” , they are for people who work outside in the cold (ex: construction, security guards, school cross-guards ect) I’m sure they will be a blessing for your hands. I have rheumatoid arthritis, so I know what you mean about hand pain. 😢
May we get her to 100k subscribers this year.

I just winter sowed in ziplock bags with tiny slits in the bottom with a cloths pin to hold the top slightly open.
You've really inspired me and I decided to try raising quail. The eggs are only on day 2 in the incubator but I'm more excited to see them hatch than my kids are lol

Haha girl add fertilizer first then when you fill with water it does the mixing for you. But without a lid, that’s a whole other problem 😂 so wild 😂

I want to try to grow comfrey. I don't seem to able to find a good resource for the root. What resource do you recommend?
Hi 🖐🏾
Who do you buy your shishito & habanata pepper seeds from? Thank you for the leggy seedling lesson.
Hi! The habanada peppers are from MIgardener and the Shishitos are from Kids Seed Co. They have a page on IG.

Can those pepper seeds be ground up and used in recipes, like red peppers?
