How nuclear is an arguably better technology and how it is just as “green” as solar.

So prior to President Bush in 2005 signing at first energy initiative let's go back a little further Jimmy Carter established the department of energy and beyond that he put solar panels on top of the White House and at the end of his administration a person move by Mr Reagan was to remove all those solar panels so much for non-partisan politics with solar. President Carter also established the first tax credit for installing solar and back in 1980 I built a solar thermal array for my first home and was able to get 30% back. Nice presentation thank you energy Sage for continuing to educate the public on solar and storage energy

Yup I care about a bit of energy independence more than the clean energy thing. I do think it’s important but it’s more than that.

Hmm for topics are there any housing situations where it is more or less beneficial to go solar? For instance townhouses with less roof space. If someone were interested what are the best avenues to take and questions to ask to make sure it is right for their situation?

I've heard of community solar programs for people in appartment and such. I haven't done any research.

@@Casey-ip7ug I am an apartment dweller and I subscribe to a community solar program. So, yep. That is a thing. the CS thing still delivers your electrons to you using the regular grid, so you won't benefit in a grid down situation. It does let you know you are helping to de-carbonize the grid though. That feels good.

This is a great presentation on its own and interjected movie snippets only take away from what is otherwise a very professional and well thought out video.

@ I’d love to hear about these direct subsidies to develop more gas stations on private Property of every homeowner?

Lol the IRA didn't make these systems cheaper. Companies just increased the price to offset the savings to the consumer. 30k for an average solar system has a payback on my electric bill in 12.5 years. If i took that same sum of money and invested it with an average market return in the same period I'd have 64k. Take advantage of system improvements that make sense like heat pumps and heat pump hot water heaters. Roof top solar makes more sense if it's purpose driven like to power your EV. It's still dirt cheap besides in CA to run your house off the grid. This video is so cringe.

I love when we pretend that solar is clean green energy. We are just greenwashing and exporting our pollution and extraction to other 3rd world countries

Yes brother. I too love the smell of the delicious noxious gases coming off of gas and coal power plants. When are we making our deal leader the president forever? Please do it so I can drive my truck on 20 inch lifts that barely gives me 8 mpg while I drink monster and gas station cookies for breakfast. What the heck is a 401K? The president promised me free money that he will tax from minorities.

Huh?! That's just not true. Solar panels are probably the least carbon-emitting energy out there.
