Yeah I met him at a bushcraft weekend. Got him to sign a DVD. He asked me what to write on it. I said "put from a Wiseman on it". He chuckled then punched me. Only joking about the punching part😂👍
Its from a tv series 1980`s ` Duncan Dares` he was a presenter on Blue Peter but did this as an off shoot the full episode is on you tube ( in parts ) he also did an episode with the Royal Marines during selection week .
Yeah I’ve got 1st edition too! It’s been my bible as well as being full blown self sufficient! A slave to no man with the Last of the V8s and Fireblade with knobblies! Get myself out of trouble faster than I get into it ! I’ve severed my ties to the I phones and strictly do not believe a bloody word out of London . Best wishes Lofty, shame we never met…. I've got a copy of Lofty's Who Dares Grins signed and dedicated to me from Lofty and his pal Bob Podesta, still carry his little survival book in my daysack too.
I was on the trot in Spain and a golf course I used to go to(my golfing skills were a cross between crazy golf and pinball) had a big pond, I'd call it a small lake. There was a large forest fire and the helicopters were scooping up the water from it and the owner was going mad because the fish in that pond was worth a lot of money. Being on the run ain't fun, especially when your kids, missus, and loved ones are back home especially when suffering from depression and anxiety but little things like that I can find amusing now.
@@ChrisThrall I don't know if I ever could. I have thought about it and writing books but I always back away from it. A lot of trauma along the way and nothing that can ever just be put behind me. People I know have often told me that I should and I reply I could probably write 6. I never watched podcasts then one day I saw somebody's face who I knew since he was a kid. So I watched it and listened to him speak and he was talking and at one point I said to myself "Watch what you are saying ????, You'll end up getting yourself shot". A few hours later he was shot dead. Not for anything that he said in the podcast though and somebody has been convicted of his murder. It puts me a bit off taking part in a podcast.
