I think about the bond that developed between us when I trained mine when he was a puppy. It’s too hard to walk through any door that gets me in the house because he isn’t there for me to say hi to him when I walk through it. I stay in my car for at least 20 minutes before I go into my house.

I have a 7 month old Golden doodle who loves people and will jump up to greet and then will sit or stand with me. He's in puppy kindergarten but it's not helping with the meet and greet. I do take him to a rod and gun club in the bar and he is the official greeter. I would love to walk him like you do with your 7 month old.

My boyfriend and I just got our first dog in December and we got a F1 medium Goldendoodle and she looks so similar to Callie! If you have tips on leash walking with your dog without maybe pulling with a lot of distractions, and training tips on how to keep your dogs focused on you. I live in Canada, specifically Toronto. So it’s a big city, and a lot of distractions. Great video!

some solid overall mindsets there but I don't think advocating for off leash is cool, a lot of idiots are gonna run with that advice. overall owners need to keep their dogs on a leash in most public situations. there needs to be off leash training incorporated but keeping them totally off leash shouldn't be the goal, having them act right when they eventually are off leash is though. Please leash your dogs for their own safety, as well as everyone else's. let them off when merited ofc but leash training is just as important. dynamically train both aspects even if you have a "chill dog" someone else might not.

I don’t do anything, completely genetics on how the dogs hair is and then I just cut it every month or two

Really just words, I will use treats when teaching things like sit and stay but other than that I just make sure they’re focused on me by words.
I’m also interested in how to keep your dogs attention…my do is 11weeks and I would like to get her to focus more.

I use a size 6 or 7 I think, as long as you keep them brushed you’ll do great with grooming
