I tip sometimes but tips are not mandatory. Tips are to show appreciation for good service. It's not my job to pay people's salary. If they don't like it go get a better job that pays a liveable wage.
I agree with tipping but how much depends on how well you treated your customer. Don't tell me I have to tip such and such amount if the wait staff was slow....or rude or completely lacked customer service skills....

I tip 30-40% because I know there's ppl like this. If I have a really bad experience I tip a minimum of 10% because I know at most restaurants tips are split amongst everyone in the restaurants. My daughter is also a waitress and know how hard she works and see how upset she gets when she doesn't get tipped. She feels as if she did something wrong and sometimes its not the waitresses fault that the kitchen messed up.
Ummm i live in Singapore and there is no such thing as tipping like the company pay the staff and i think that is the main issue that companies should start paying their staff in the west i believe

The workers that’s worth tipping are the HOUSKEEPING at the hotels. Imagine the heavy cart they’re pushing from floor to floor. Then there’s these idiots who would leave the room so nasty like they are not humans. Next, it would be the assistant CHEF, Servers, baristas and like doesn’t do much hard work so it’s ok not to leave tip especially when you don’t have enough money left.
If the restaurant starts paying the server $25 or more instead of 3 dollars, then the food prices will go up, and people will most likely eat home or restaurants will cut on service. A lot of restaurants barely make profits. Tipping helps the economy by making people eat out.

However if their tips+regular wage do not equal out to at least minimum wage then the restraunt is required to make up the difference until they are paid at least the equivalent of minimum wage for the hours worked. Thats federal law too so states can do nothing to stop that from happening.
