I personally started my career in property management as a community assistant. Today I gained a level and stepped up into the assistant property manager role. It doesn't seem like much, but from no experience to this, it means GROWTH. I watched your videos prior to starting as a community assistant, and now I am watching this again to spark that fire up and remind myself that I am blessed with this opportunity & career. I do not have a mentor to go to just yet, so for the meantime I will be consistently scrolling through your videos. Thank you Matt!✨
I started in property management in January. Didn’t start as a leasing agent. Jumped straight in to the fire 😍. In Texas, we are realtors and independent contractors. Anyway I went from zero properties 8 months ago to about 70 today. Sometimes I feel like I’m losing my mind I’m so busy. More and more referrals are coming in too. How do I juggle and get organized?
Thank your Matt for the videos on the property management . It has shade light to a lot of things that i did not know in the property management. It will build a lot of opportunity to people. I have work at the lands dept for more than 15years, but there is a lot yet to learn. Kind regards. Robinson Toka. from Luganville, in Vanuatu,
Subscribed! I've been in the industry 13 years now BUT I love learning! Also- "too much fun"... I disagree. Tomorrow isn't promised and everyday there's time for fun!!
I’m getting interviewed to be an Assistant Property Manager at a Low-income housing location and I’m very nervous. I feel strong about my skills, but it’s my first job in property management.
Great content Matt! What are your thoughts on property management software, like DoorLoop and Rentigo? Have heard good things and am considering it for my business.
Hi Matt I'm newbie as a landlord of multiple properties ( at the moment are in shell form, hopefully end of this year they be ready finished) what is the best tips one can give me. Thanks.
Good day from Nigeria, I love your teaching, it's a great insight for me, I'm interested in starting property management in ebonyi state south eastern part of the country. What do I need to have to start
I’m 21 years old just got promoted from a leasing agent to property manager what’s the best way to make sure your not forgetting any steps or anything going on?
1st Fully utilize a calendar. Physical calendar, outlook calendar and notes. 2nd - organize your day 3rd- putting in the work. It takes 60 days to build a new habit. Once you've structured your day (calendar) and follow it consistently, you will build your skillset and your day to day will become habit. Work tasks and duties will become habit!
I’m 51 and I’m competing with people that is so much younger. They don’t have anywhere the knowledge or understanding about the industry that I do. So one of two things keep happening I get hired pumped for my knowledge and the replaced by someone who will do my job for 1/2 my pay, while the company uses the knowledge I gave them to grow their success. I’ve been unemployment for almost a year and I am amazing at what I do. Please help!!!!
Do it make sense to get you Certified at www.LeasingUniversity.com and I can put a video on my LinkedIn telling my 30,000 industry contacts that your are certified and looking to get hired?
Typically most of the regional are on the older side, their experience is what they bring to the table, to be able to train their team and focus on revenue management.
Also don't get discouraged, a company that is willing to save a penny by getting rid of they true assets ( yourself) then they probably are not worth working for. We wanna be in a place where we're valued.
I haven’t leased since 2012. I am a Salon owner however Since the pandemic I choose to fall back into leasing. This time I want to be a Property Manager. Is it possible to get the job when I’ve been out for so long. Note: I have 7 years (on and off) Leasing experience
The answer is yes! Don’t listen to this douche about contacting him. Find a company on Linked in and apply for a job on their website. At the very least, you can full time leasing agent position and go from there. (I’m a leasing manager)
You bet. Call the www.LeasingUniversity.com offices at (888) 735-7451 and ask to speak directly with me. I have a few ideas that may be game changers for you. - Matt Easton
