Frontier devs must be crying tears of joy for not only their Flagship making it into the mainline series but also the unanimous positive response to it. I have not seen one person being negative about a Frontier monster coming in and that's heartwarming.
Also, it’s because frontier monsters were so unique and creative, that so many people have wanted them in the main series. The fact that Espinas is now here may signal that more may appear in the future, and that is a prospect that appeals to a lot of people.

Just recently fought him in Frontier (private servers exist now, highly recommend everyone to check the game out), it's a really cool and super difficult fight. Hope they are bringing more Frontier and other spin-off monsters back too (Explore's special species were hinted in the update list), there's so much potential there. And as always, banger remix!
I'm so glad Espinas got into Sunbreak. Not because I played Frontier or have a special connection to him or that series, but because if he hadn't of gotten into Sunbreak, I wouldn't have ever gotten to experience him, nor gotten to add him to my top 10 favorite monsters. He's so good, and his theme is no exception.

There's at least 1 frontier dev on the Rise team. So, they probably had something to do with it getting in.

Apparently he doesn't this theme was a jungle maps theme, but it fits espinas so much they used it as his theme

Yes they definitely increased Espinas size, he used to be a little bit smaller than a Rathian and now he's massive.
