Quick question: I just received a negative outcome in my skills assessment application and Vetassess informed that my occupation is one not listed on any of the 482 current lists, but I have plenty of experience in my current job and my salary is above the future TISMIT. Dear Chris, we have applied for the skill assessment via VETASSES on the 9th of September 2022 for the title of copywriter in South Australia through Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa Subclass 491. We are yet to receive the result. Would you mind letting us know how long it takes generally? We have been told that it'll take 3-4 months maximum by our local migration consultant. Thank you.

Hi is it possible to retake IELTS one component for 494 visa? the requirement is 6 in all bands. However i went down in Reading as I got 5.5. so can I only retake this component? will IELTS retake be an disadvantage on my application?

For Australian visa purposes, the Department will accept IELTS test results that include OSR, with the exception of applications for subclasses 476, 482, and 485, which need scores from a single sitting/attempt. Wanted to know , if the candidate is not working from last 4-5 months while applying for 482 medium term although he has nearly 4yrs same job exp. outside Australia complying to min 2yrs needed as mentioned in portal for 482 including he has sponsor with contract....is he eligible ?

Good to know in such case candidate is eligible for 482 Visa application.
The dept. of home affairs website says the "STSOL 482 to PR (186)" pathway is only available for 2 years, but the actual legislative instrument has no mention of this whatsoever - it actually says it'll be valid until 2032.
I see literally every migration agency saying "this pathway will only be available until July 2024". Some actual definitive clarity here would be absolutely fantastic!! Thanks

Today we received pre invite for 190 visa.
Shall we withdraw 491 and apply for 190?
Will we loose visa application fees paid for 491?

Get the 190 nomination first from Victoria before withdrawing your 491. As soon as you receive the nomination, withdraw your 491 visa.
Yes, you will lose the fee and have to pay another visa fee.
190 visa irrespective of the state that issues it is better than 491 cos while the former is permanent residence, the latter is a temporary work visa. So 190 trumps 491
