I’m an older mom. No biological children. I got married young at twenty years old. We were married for twenty five years until we adopted. I’m 52 with three adopted babies who are now, 7, 5 and 4. Wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Fun story: Once spoke to a woman who had 5 children, one in each decade of her life. One in her teens and one each in her twenties, thirties, forties and one at fifty. She laughed, saying it wasn't her plan but she doesn't know why life worked out in that way.
My mom had me at 40. I grew up with all the kids calling her my grandma. I never cared. We’ve always been very close. She and my dad went on to have to practically raise my oldest sisters kids as well. Society has normalized teen/tween pregnancy, but still has a stigma against having kids after 30s… im 27 and nowhere near ready to have kids. If I ever settle down and am financially able to raise a kid, I’ll consider it then, but for now I’m perfectly content with my cat 🥰
As a mom who had her last baby at 45, I find your comment quite remarkable! Who is your aunt? Were all her pregnancies naturally occurring like mine or medically assisted (IVF, etc.)?
I remember reading about Barbara's strory when her son was born; I was so inspired by it and shared it with a fertility facebook group. Thank you, Tamron, for the update on her family!! Thank you both for giving hope to those of us who want to be Moms.
I had babies my 4th and 5th baby at 37 and 39. With my last baby I developed preeclampsia and almost died. I had prior health problems. I had chronic hypertension. I think it can be an issue for some women, not all. And they tell this to all women past age 35. However it doesn’t mean that you will have problems if you get pregnant after age 35.
Chile... Barbara and all the other women that have gave birth after a certain age... I salute you... I had my 1st at 28 and my 2nd at 35... I would not know how to react now I'm 42😢😢😢
My friend had a baby at 57, she lives in Australia. Her first and only child was killed in a car accident so she had her daughter at 57 through donor sperm and she grew the baby and gave birth to her. So proud of her
The Lord is the best by sending the dreams to this mom when she lost her beautiful daughter. I’m so happy she decided to have her beautiful son. What a blessing from the Lord!❤

Well so many grannies already taking care of grand babies and great grand babies so where's the difference. They may as well have the babies themselves.

As the child of older parents that were also children of older parents, I'm a bit hesitate to encourage having children after 45. When that boy turns 13 she'll be 70. It looks like the daughter will be helping raise this child.
So what? If you were in her position you'd likely have felt differently. Also, maybe she has a support system of adults you don't know about. I wouldn't be so quick to judge.
I am also the child of older parents and agree with you 100%. Children need their parents to be parents not grandparents. For all the haters, be glad it wasn't you!
I'm 39 in 2 months and I'm 6 months pregnant .. Docs keep labeling me as "advanced maternal age" I waited 8yrs for this little boy and spent 12k with fertility docs and surgery.. And I want more after him! Not all of us are given love or stability early in life so we have to work extra hard to build for ourselves while society outcasts us and it takes time to emotionally heal and stabilize to be able to be healthy enough parents.. I'm beating the odds! My kids are all I have for family! #SarinaKorona #JacquelynnWingfield

I agree with what the mom said. It's funny how people are so quick to say they feel sorry for the baby in situations like this. Death doesn't have a guaranteed age. You have mother's and father's in their 20s or 30s who have died, leaving that child fatherless or motherless. Hell you even have children being born to people who abandoned them because they didn't want the responsibility. As long as this mother and her husband and baby make as many priceless moments, loving on one another, before one of them leaves this earth (because again death doesn't have a guaranteed age) that's all that matters. They are a blessing to/for one another💜🥰
I just personally feel like it’s not a good idea to have a kid when you are at the stage of retirement. Sure they’re gonna show you the good stories but I don’t think it’s exactly a good choice to have a child so old. It may be a hot take of mine but I just feel like having a kid pass the age of like 35 is kinda terrible and it sounds tiring as hell. Some people do it and it works and that’s good for them. Yeah i was like 30 when i had my last kid. No way would i want another especially at an older age but of course id take care of another child if it happened. My bf is 22 yrs older and ppl hate cuz he was late 40s and early 50s when our kids were born. They say older ppl and ones with serious medical conditions shldnt have kids cuz its selfish. Well in that case ppl with diabetes shldnt have kids right? The fact is people are people and sooooo many things can happen to a human. People of all ages die every day. Older age doesnt mean being unhealthy and it doesnt even really mean immediate death. From medical conditions to accidents and homicides and manslaughter, its just a gamble and everyone has the same exact risk of dying every day. Some are more likely to go than others, but today could be anyones and everyones last day
I encourage women to do undergo egg freezing and banking in your 20s if you can afford it. This way, you can focus on your career when you are ready and won't feel as though you are in a rush to marry or have a child with the wrong person. One doctor even told me that he could impregnant a 90 year woman with a healthy egg. Your ovarian reserve, AMF hormones and overall egg quality diminishes in your 30s.
Yeah but the transport, storage, and fertilization processes all have high risks of failure in addition to the high price tag. If you have a chance to do things the easy, old-fashioned way, definitely take it!

This Debbie I had my 1st great granddaughter at 57
No way
Wowwwwww 😮such a he is such cutie pie and blissful blessing of handsomeness ❤
Some are more likely to go than others, but today could be anyones and everyones last day
There is hope for me 😭
Very cute baby❤
That kid will call her grandma instead of mom. A dream is just a dream.
What a disgusting comment to write.
