I totally understand saying goodbye to islands due to lack of inspiration. Sometimes the enjoyment of a particular theme is intense but short lived. I myself have done that many times. Personally, I'll enjoy watching any island you build. I have enjoyed your videos for a while. They are very inspirational. :) My favorite cat villager is Moe. I also really like Tabby.

I’m glad you decided to make the decision that was best for you!! If you’ve lost inspiration there is no reason you should force yourself to continue! I’m so excited to see what you do next, every island you do is amazing whether you finish it or not! You are such an inspiration and if not for you I never would’ve restarted my own island! katt is my favorite cat villager. which is kind of ironic, since I really disliked her prior to new horizons. her previous design (mostly just the shirt they gave her) really wasn't doing her any favors - but the addition of sleeves and better graphics helped me absolutely fall in love with her. she was actually one of the two villagers I started my island with (her and mac - another favorite now). I started my island the second new horizons released in march 2020, and katt and mac have stayed on my island ever since. initially I was disappointed - i got the ONE cat I did NOT like. but I didn't feel like resetting, so I went with it. she very quickly grew on me. she has such a unique and unconventional charm to her, and I love how she feels a bit more on the masculine side. went from top 10 most disliked, to top 10 best ever, never leaving my island. love u katt ❤

I understand starting over. If you aren't feeling it, you aren't. I will say I was excited about Cat island bc I'm such a cat person. I also loved the market area. It made me want it on my island. The parts you did, I loved and they were cute.
I also love cats and I think I would like to try a cat island again one day 😊

That’s how I was the other day. I wasn’t feeling my theme so that’s why I asked for inspiration during the new island stream the other day. It’s honestly helped. I was feeling burnt out but, my new island has reignited the spark I needed to enjoy the game ❤ if you’re not feeling the islands vibe, resetting seems like the best option. Can’t wait to see it ❤

I did the same thing a few months ago with a Hobbit/LOTR themed island I was working on. I loved working on it initially and got about halfway done and then just got stuck. I started another island on my other switch and hoped I would gain motivation to work on my Hobbit island again and unfortunately never did. I ended up deleting it and started a forever island on that switch. The nice thing about this game is you can delete and start over and you can also always go back to a theme and give it another go. Anything you create is just lovely and I can’t wait to see what you do next 😊❤
And that’s why I love this came. The freedom to build whatever you like is the best part 😊

I've just done it, too. I did the builds I wanted to, and then took lots of photos, dreamed it and restarted. I wasn't feeling it.

I’ve deleted an island because I just couldn’t get into it…possibly a couple. I think if it doesn’t give you joy then you shouldn’t continue with it. The builds you did were pretty. Can’t wait to see your next island.

I think you’ve made the right decision. Biscuit was beautiful don’t get me wrong, but if you aren’t feeling it anymore then there’s no point forcing yourself. At the end of the day it’s a game! We play to have fun and share our creativity. If you’re feeling inspired in a different direction you should definitely follow that. Follow the fun! ❤️

Maybe try a completely different theme that youve not done before? I get soooo burnt out if i try doing the same theme that ive already done and get a mental block for ideas when ive already done the theme before ❤

Figured you'd do this, which is sad, but it's just a game, do what you gotta do!
Have you ever considered that it is perhaps the constraint of a theme that you struggle with? You were super excited early on the froggy island but were not feeling it by the mid-way point, and the grandma island now, and you've also made some other comments during other islands about kind of being over the theme by the like halfway-ish mark? And you want to move onto the next theme and the next theme. (Which is fine BTW lol no one wants you to do what you don't want to). It feels kind of like once you've "locked yourself in" you lose the inspiration because it's a constraint.
It might be a better idea to just like... Not do a theme at all. Just do whatever the heck you want where you wanna, with the villagers you want, with the colors and furniture you want. Just... Do whatever you want, no theme, just go and have fun! Or a four corners island where each corner has a different theme or color scheme or villager set or whatever.
Just a thought, obviously you gotta do whatever you wanna do to have the most fun! :) look forward to seeing what's next!

I felt this. I’m on my 5th island reset.🥲 After so long on the other 4, things just weren’t flowing like in the beginning. I’m happy with my final island now though.^^
