This guy has helped my backhand more than any other on-court instruction or instructional videos. And I have watched a lot. His presentation skills are steadily improving which lends to the video flowing better from a production standpoint. The key to why Tennis Doctor is helpful are the details that he focuses on. Many teach the entire swing from start to finish, some teach the less impactful elements of a backhand (or any other shot). Tennis Doctor focuses on the critical pieces of the swing that, when done correctly, have a huge impact - an almost immediate return in terms of results. Keep working on those presentation skills as they get better with each video. AND, thank you for helping improve my game.
thanks for the explanation, I've had those more than two step lessons in the past all they did was hinder me.. but the best part of the video for me was the 1hbh explanation.. I have success sometimes for weeks but then bad habits with the coil or footwork hinder it (opening up a bit instead of coiling more but remaining sideways).. thanks again, also ciao.
On the 1-handed Backhand. 1. Coach you are demonstrating with a bit closed stanc as opposed to Square Stance which is natural with 1-handed Backhand. 2. Left leg slide in: no Professional player does this. Why add irrelevant moves?
@@vincentsimoneofficial Stan Wawrinka uses variety of Stances, Square Stance, and semi-open stance. When he sets up in a closed stance look for his left Leg, at the time of contact his back leg lines up and he finishes with open stance. You need to observe other 1-handed Backhand players as well. Please do not base your coaching philosophy on just one player since majority of the recreational players do not possess Wawrinka athletic skills.
@@mahboobkhan3570 The guy in this video has some good tips, but his one handed backand is even more closed than Federer. I agree with you, Stan's backhand is different in that he opens up as he's hitting the ball - a bit like me really he he!!

Great video. Could you explain in your next video the bh technique with open stance?
Dragging the toe seems to help for low backhands, nice one.
Great stuff, you're one of the few who really gets it. Thanks.
Thank you Vincent - obrigado 👍
I tend to still swing too quickly & violently to an off-pace, sitter ball which made me shank a lot with these slower sitters. Your thoughts?
Great stuff indeed coach
great video. Relax, smooth....are confusing terms. It cost me years to learn these terms and my forehand was still not powerful.
This girl is quite impressive: hard hits without lost balance.
See how far back the girl takes the left hand on her forehand take back. Only Djokovic and Alcaraz do that to that extent.
On the 1-handed Backhand.

I’ve seen it before on the slice, it works very well. I think it’s taught to make sure you’re side on and don’t open up accidentally
If it’s good enough for Stan Warinka then it’s good enough for you
@@vincentsimoneofficialStan absolutely doesn’t normally do this. Great video, but bizarre bh

I think “smooth strokes” is for beginners when they’re first learning. But I can see how once you get more advanced that it’s not a good tip.
