  • Abby's Mom sent us a link to this place and since we were only an hour away we had to go check it out. This place was amazing! We really enjoyed it. If you're into hiking and love natural formations this this is a spot you need to visit. Beautiful sandstone capped clay formations with lots of interesting colors. Located less than an hour east of Colorado Spring in El Paso County Colorado.

Welcome to a part of Colorado that most folks never think of visiting. Our friends run cattle just about 4 miles south of Paint Mines and I spend every fall hunting antelope in the area around there. Most folks only think of mountains when they think of Colorado. Congrats to Abby's mom for sending you out east.

In my opinion you guys put out some of the best travel videos on TH-cam.
Always interesting and informative and presented in a simple, not full of bull manure format (not like some others)
I live in New Zealand and where we have some amazing scenery but the USA would give us a good run for our money.
Keep up the good work and thanks.

Beautiful, colorful formations. A lot flatter than Pike's Peak, huh? Nice that you two were able to get out so early and have the place to yourselves...really rare in scenic sites.

Lots of these little badlands in the high plains states. There's one called "Hell's Half Acre" just outside Casper Wyoming if you ever make it up that way. It's where Starship Troopers was shot.

Hey Adom and ms. Adom .welcome to colorful colorado. Just an idea, if your still down south not to far out the springs is a place j think Adom would really be interested in seeing. In rye colorado a place called "Bishops castle". It's pretty incredible. I won't give too much away, but it is a castle. A man pretty much by himself built with his own two hands. And if you go see it you won't believe ,or understand. How this one man spent his life built this enormous. Castle. Maby. Check it out online. And see if your interested. I watch your channel all the time and I know it's right up your alley. Anyway, just a thought. Enjoy our beautiful state. I hope your not getting smoked out from the fires too bad. Be safe,. Peace✌️

With those "balancing rocks", it is actually unlikely that they just fell over. More than likely, the same type of people who climbed all over the formations, pushed the rocks over. :-/ As a truck driver, I pass through Colorado Springs often. Too bad I can't get my truck down there. :-)

I'd suggest trying to do the Bachelor Loop Mining trail just outside of Creede, CO along with the mining museum and The Last Chance Mine (if open). Lot's of good things to see there. Pagosa Springs is always a favorite. 3 Barrel Brewing in Del Norte, CO; The Colorado Farm Brewery in Alamosa; Riff Raff on the Rio Brewing in Pagosa.
    Safe travels!
