Well the plan was to have Jimin in the song in the first place so it was understandable. Taeyang said that Teddy was keeping an eye on Jimin for 2 years and would like to have Taeyang and Jimin on the same track so VIBE was tailor made to compliment Jimin's style more than Taeyang, plus YG artists are known are known to give more spotlight to the featured artists on their song more than themselves so that's another factor why Jimin stood out.
