Sliver dimes are a great source of fractional amounts for bartering with in a SHTF scenario...👌🏼💯✔

Nice presentation. Only improvement I can think of is that you used the term "errors" when they should be attributed as "varieties".

Thanks - I mix them up often (not saying I'm right, I just need to be more focused when speaking using em).

When did the diameter of the dime shrink to current diameter ? I have an 1832 and 1834 that do not fit in a standard current cut hole in a plan dime book .

    Thank you for your presentation!
If you haven't already, maybe you can give everyone an idea of how to grade mercury dimes..
These are among one of the most difficult coins to grade between fine and very fine.
Had lots of difficulty finding a 1921-D in very fine or above!
Seller's on eBay would often over grade between fine and very fine!
    Remember...
The two diagonal bands must show clearly to be very fine!
Even though the 1921-D is weaker on these elements, very fine or above must have this feature visible...
    Otherwise, it's below VF!
    Thank you!

Why was "DIME" spelled "DISME" in the "early years" of dime production?

Is it considered safe to buy coins over the internet? Is there a way to prejudge websites? Littleton coins for instance? I really dislike making the drive only to find out the coin I want isn’t in the condition I want for the price. I’d prefer to leave like a hundred dollar deposit in exchange for them chasing down the coin. Apparently I’ve got trust issues. But I’m definitely done buying coins that are really worn and getting buyers remorse instantly. Bill

Ten Cents. The US government had the "idea" that we coin collectors were causing the coin shortage of that era because (FAKE NEWS) "coins were being collected by the mint marks on them." (They just didn't make enough coins for the population.)

The fasces was one of the symbols of Rome. One rod may be weak, but bundled together they are strong. It was a popular symbol of collective strength until Fascist Italy adopted it and sort of ruined the fun for everybody else.
