"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered” Thomas Jefferson
The faster money moves, the wealthier everyone becomes. The tighter you squeeze the middle and lower class, the closer to a total economy collapse we get. Pay the working class a wage that supports having a hobby and you'll find that every business wins.
I don’t see what we can do. High taxes and high housing costs (for everyone else) are incredibly popular according to polls. Many want a balanced budget, but each individual item that puts the government over budget is popular. This is the downside to democracy.
Gotta love how complaining is always demonized. If a person wants out of a bad situation, most of the time they're going to have to start out by "complaining". That's how you identify and acknowledge what's happening and the goal is for it to eventually evolve into a solution. The problem we have is this specific issue is complex and systemic. So its going to take some time & people are going to have to deal with our complaints for awhile, so buckle up, we're not doing any of that out of sight out of mind sh*t
@BruceFoerster I was able to rent an apartment on minimum wage. In 1998, the rent was $350. That could be paid on minimum wage. $4.75 - $5.15 per hour! In 1996, my sons daycare was $35 per week. The cost difference one is drastic!
The Founders didn’t think we could have a republic if there was a large difference in wealth. Long term business corporations were not sanctioned by the Governments, when our country started. But once they were sanctioned, then wealth became concentrated into corporations. Unfortunately our government does what the big corporations want. Taxes, regulations, permits etc are to help the big corporations and hurt the mom and businesses. We need to go back to a family based economy instead of a corporate based economy. In a free market there are no corporations because the government doesn’t charter corporations in a free market.
The consumer can’t afford to. They’re keeping us shopping at Walmart through petty wages. The game is rigged. Corporations have destroyed this country.
Love this dude!!! He is going somewhere for sure. He always talks about Gen Z and Millennials, but, everything this guy always talks about also applies to Gen X too. 3-4 Generations with next to nothing to look forward to everyday now even IF you have a degree.
Unfortunately all of these complaints fall of deaf ears. I'm a tradesman and with the lousy paychecks compared to the cost of living, I will probably never be able to own real estate in America unless a miracle happens. Pushing two whole generations (possibly 3 generations when Generation Alpha becomes adults) into below-poverty level wages and expecting them to work to the bone is ludicrous especially when that kind of work only paid off in 1953, not 2024.
401Ks??? Insurance????! You mean the things no one’s job pays for (with bosses working people just enough to keep them under full-time)? They’re practically a myth now😅
I recently sold half my tech stock holdings due to all-time highs, leaving me with $400k. Should I invest in ETFs now or wait for a market correction considering potential inflation?
From $37K to $45K that's the minimum range of profit return every week I thinks it's not a bad one for me, now I have enough to pay bills and take care of my family.
I'm not a Boomer and I'll say it too. Stop blaming everything on one subset of people. What are you doing to fix it, or even to help someone, because we're all suffering? Speaking out is good. Blaming Boomers for everything is just lazy and ignorant. What does it solve? How does it help?
@@bighornhd I will allow you to elaborate. Please regale us with your considerable knowledge you have displayed with your comment so us lowly commoners might easily understand.
Talking to my online language students in China, the baseline to pay income tax is higher than the average income, apparently. So most people just don't have to worry about paying income tax. Mind you, China has a lot of other issues.
Complaining in the comments section of TH-cam is doing no good. You need to get politically involved. At least call or email your senator...if you know who that is.
You guys really need to take a closer look at history. There was a very brief time where people could live comfortably. Those people neither had a say in the policies that brought that economic situation, nor did they have any control over the things that changed them. Complaining is not going to do jack. You, and those younger than you, need to examine the policies that both made things better, and those that made it worse...then you need to eother support candidates that support the helpful policies, or run yourself and put those policies forth.
Now this we can agree on. Complaining about Boomers constantly is lazy, incorrect, and ignorant. The market will correct to a point, but only after it tests us for our limit. Without us, they have nothing. It's also important to remember they do provide things as well. None of it is more valuable than the things we provide. It should be mutually beneficial. Things are very asymmetrical right now.
Thanks for making me watch this multiple times now. I have no idea what you're talking about. The only thing he said about minimum wage was people getting minimum wage can't afford an apartment. So they should be homeless? Is that the part that turned you off? I'm confused...
@Ninja_McMuffin In my lifetime, people working minimum wage jobs were living at home. I had my first minimum wage job in 87, I was 13, and working a civil service job in Europe, no lie. It was a summer hire job, but even after returning to the US i contued to work. I had no expectation of being able to afford an apartment. It was just over $3 an hr. I know it may have started that way, and it may have needed to be maintained. My point is, it has been a very long time since then. The thing that has changed is the ability to share information. What we are doing with that is fighting over dumb shit. We should be working together to fix it. Unions are more important now than ever. If they won't let unions happen at individual businesses, we should have national unions that support efforts of everyone. Collective bargaining for all. The problem is we are all tied together with our 401k and any investments you may have. It would not be easy. Just a thought.

Well and the supreme court made bribing our politicians legal and we now live under corporate rule 😅😔
It’s sick. Thank you for speaking out about this.

We need to organize a General Strike, but getting people to start getting READY for a General Strike is almost impossible...
People only care about themselves in this country, and they keep themselves divided which is exactly what the elites want.
Didn't the last president made a train workers strike illegal just to crush them?

Over 20% just for taxes. Don't even think about health insurance or 401k's.

I noticed every time a republican is elected president the national debt skyrockets!
It’s true. When Clinton left office, the national debt was zero. By the time Shrub left office, it was $1 trillion.

You seem to have selective vision. Since you miss the 1.1T added per year by Barack Obama and about 1.6T per year over the 1st half of Bidens term.
