I'm planning on taking the TSI test soon but I have been out of school for almost 12 years now. I have been a stay at home mom for the past 10 years. I definitely needed a refresher so I ordered the TSI book but I still struggled with it then I came across these videos and they have helped me out tremendously! Thank you!!
Although the video is a great study guide, the girl was the best at explaining and making the material easy to review. That's just my opinion, and I say that, because I had to go back a few more times with the other two (guys). Thanks to all the people that spent time putting this presentation together, it was very helpful!
Im not agree. The girl doesnt explain specifically, I have to rewind the video more than 1 time to understand. I dont know if is because she has to explain the hardest part of math (algebra).
I agree with you. The way she explains it, alongside her enthusiasm, is just so nice and coherent. I was not the biggest fan of how the other two presented, but overall, this was a very nice video to get my brush up in Algebra.

I can totally see that. That is actually why I enjoyed her though Haha. I haven't touched math since High School (A good 7 years) So having the whole process laid out like that was refreshing for my memory, but for someone who is just looking for a quick brush up. I can definitely see her going too slow.

what is difference or what does the guide includes that hasn't been taught in this video? like does it explain more stuff? or just more of an expanded version of this tutorial. @mometrixtestpreparation

For anyone else in the future who has this question: I bought the book and the math section it is basically a handful of pages explaining rough definitions of different math subjects. The video has explained much more than the book did and in far greater detail. I will say the good thing about the book though is it has extensive practice tests with answer sheets that have helped me better understand any flaws I have had with answering problems.
On Percentage Decrease (3:14:47), I am not sure how you came to get the 4/9 on the first problem. Likewise, the percentage increase video, how are you getting the fraction 2/3 on the first problem?
We are simply reducing the fraction 1.6/3.6 as low as possible. You divide both parts by .4 to get 4/9. It is the same concept in the percentage increase problem. You divide both parts of 1.2/1.8 by .6 to get 2/3. Don't forget we have a great TSI Study Guide which has even more review at www.mometrix.com/studyguides/tsi.
I am sorry, but in the Area and Circumference section, what is the number of Pi? I understand that we multiply the two numbers together but I am not sure what number Pi represents.

The problem asks for the answer in inches not feet. So you have to convert the feet to inches. There are 12 inches in 1 foot so you multiply by 12.
