Used to fly into Boston regularly when I was living in Maine. Not a fan of flying at all ad one time we were just about to touch ground and the landing was aborted due to high winds and that sucked!!! Boston always seems to be a difficult landing. At least for me.
The good news is that pilots go through so much training they can deal with any situation in the blink of an eye. Thanks for watching my friend! Sorry I'm so late replying to comments, but I've been on an awesome trip getting new footage for the channel! Be on the lookout for a new channel preview vey soon!
I believe the plane landed on runway 22L. The approach to that runway brings you over Bayswater Street in East Boston. My grandmother lived on Bayswater Street back in the 1950’s when I grew up. Her house directly faced the airport and was directly under the landing path, only separated by the water of Boston Harbor. Anytime I was there on a visit as a kid, I would be glued to the front window, overlooking the airport. Anytime a plane came over the house to land, the chinaware on the shelf would rattle. Back in the early 1950’s, only prop planes were landing but jets were just beginning to appear. The noise of the jets became so loud to the homeowners on Bayswater Street, that the Boston Port Authority , in the late 1960’s, would buy out your house so you could afford to sell and move away from the noise of the jet planes. My grandmother did sell to the port Authority and moved to the suburbs. I miss looking out the window at the planes landing at Logan Airport
Thanks my friend. I haven't ever flown to Australia. I'd love to, but right as my channel was gaining steam was when Covid hit. So, you know how that went. This year was the first time I really got to branch back out internationally. Hoping to do more international flying in 2023.
@@sla31 If you ever come to Australia ? Look me up be nice to meet you. Buy you a Aussie Meal ` Meat Pie and Can Of Coke. Australia big Place but Beautiful Country.
I try to travel once per month my friend. Unfortunately, I don't work for the airlines anymore, which means I don't get to fly for free. As we've discussed before I'll be visiting your neck of the woods in July, it's Montreal, Canada in August, and I'll be visiting Chicago twice in September. One of those September trips is to fly from DFW-ORD on the last American Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-80 flight. There's a lot of good stuff coming up on the channel my friend! Thanks for watching!
Love coming back home!!
Looks like coming in from the northeast on runway 22L. That's a nice landing with Nahant on the left and you come in over Beachmont, Revere.
Smooth landing, thanks for sharing.
Smooth and perfect landing.
