DIY High precision Doweling Jig for pair use

- I tried to make a jig that can do high precision dowel hole machining with hand drill without using drilling machine.
(We use a hand drill in the example, but if you have a drill at hand you should use it.)

This jig can also be applied to T junction which was impossible with conventional simple dowel jig. Or, it is a way of making it applicable to all dowels processing.

Jig should be made like this as a pair so the guided holes do not need to be perfectly vertical. this is brilliant.

The biggest problem I found with making doweling jigs is the high precision required in the build because when you use the same jig for opposing joints, any inaccuracy in the jig will be doubled, resulting in misaligned joints. This pair-use jig solves that problem!

buy a $150 bench top drill press and make a fence. you could do much more. the spinach was frozen and my rice was wet

もう一つの方法として、角材に穴を開けて中心で2分割に切断する方法もあります。
こちらは少し大きな丸鋸やバンドソーが無いと加工できないので動画にしませんでした。

you don't have to drill these holes perfectly - that's why his solution is such a perfect one.

So for t-joining you'd make a dowel jig where the holes are horizontally spaced from the resting guide, instead of vertically thou for more uses instead of it being one jig with 2 holes, make 2 identical jigs with only 1 hole, otherwise you're limited by the width of the boards i.e you had a 15 cm wide board, you'd make a hole guide jig with 5 cm's space between them and if it's 8 mm thick dowels 8,2 cm spacing on either end, but if your next project calls for 12 cm wide boards then that would throw it All out of alignment

Очень полезная вещь! Но сверлить руками под гильзы это странно.... На видео видно что втулка под углом установлена... Только сверлильным станком :)
If the jig is made for T junction then it should have been shown to be working with the T junction and not the right angle.
