In this video I go over the best Jack-8 moves and how I use them, along with the usual Ranked Battle matches to demonstrate all of the things I teach. I've been competing with Jack in tournaments for well over 10 years and I hope that this breakdown + demonstration will serve you well. I show off some of my favorite strats and how to execute them in a match. Enjoy!

@@LegendaryArchiver I've faced several and after doing some labbing I find that the poke game works best. Its his lows that really get you. If you can block those half the time and least and get them to a wall you have a much easier time going in for the KO
Don't side step left that beam ge does in neutral (I forget the input) where it's +11 and puts him in that flight stance. It will catch you, its annoying

I never even considered dashing f to do db1 with jack hammer mix 😮 I played a LOT of Jack thru the yrs and wondered why my mixup was not that effective! This alone not even counting his new gigas moves changes everything! Ty Anakin for throwing in details like this!

Guys, if you don't know, how good Anakin plays as Jack - watch his grandfinals against Knee 2019. You will never find a better Jack than Anakin, he is the reason why I started to learn to play this character

Hello Anakin Sensei! Could you do an in depth video of the Jack vs DJ matchup? It feels really hard to win those, even tho in 7 we had less tools and Jack is amazing in this game. I have been practicing mostly anti-dj, but even the frame knowledge hasnt made me beat em. I lose 8/10 games vs DJ players.

Just what I’ve been waiting for thank you sir.
Dash db1 into dash db1 into dash db1. Once you have conditioned them not to swing. Dash also makes it track. My favourite T7 sequence. But in T8 Jackhammer is 50% less guaranteed damage against ducking opponent. And db1 is +1 instead of +2. Still works but not as dominating.
Why don't you stance after a blocked ff1? It's +4 on block if you do that, and can you have options from stance to deal with any response. Is it because it's effectively a guess/read?

@TKanakin, are there anymore combo options for the normal version of volcano buster? If Im in heat I do the smash, otherwise, long hold db2.. but its so puny dmg

I want to get into playing jack but I can’t pull off a blue upper to save my life.
I dont think theres any secret to it you just gotta be fast. Its a lot easier than electric and not as crucial so i wouldnt give up on the character because of that.
DB2 works fine too
hcf, df+1. I mean that's really simple. I almost cant even mess it up, feels as if it is easier in this game.
Im on pad and the thing to remember is that it’s one full motion. When you do the half circle motion into df, don’t lift your thumb. Move it from the f to d position and you get a natural flowing df that’ll get you those blue sparks effortlessly
i think you can get blue upper from the other input as well but it's just as hard. feels inconsistent tbh but just practice.@@silverm0nk3y

The wind up “one” uppercut. You can perform the non blue have version by pressing 1+4 df1

do you stick to blue spark or you go with 1,4 input? dunno for me on dualsense blue is pain in the ass

Does anyone have any tips on hitting diagonal inputs on controller dpad easier?
if you are using anolog stick i'd highly suggest u use the dpad way more consistant and easier
@jeffreydemeyer2762 yeah I am using the dpad lol struggle to hit diagonal inputs consistently. Idk if it's because my controller is old maybe.
@@stephanglebov4895 might be, but doing diagonal is just pressing down and left or down or right at the same time same for up just keep practicing and u will get there

The best jack player in the world posts a jack tutorial...THE VERY LEAST YOU CAN DO IS ADD A LIKE. The very most you can do is buy him an island in the Pacific 👍
I only played so much of the last game. Probably not gonna hit this till Bargain Bin lv prices.
I'll be doing Helldivers II instead. If I'm gonna do a hard drive hungry fighting game for now, least KOF has some good attitude and a deeper world that feels more lived in. It's true though we need more 3D movement fighters. This 2.5 stuff has been over done at this point.
Another Soul Calibur or a BLOODY ROAR is what we actually need on the fighting scape.
Will say Jack makes things slightly more interested though.

The GH stance has different stuff going, especially being able to take hits at the right time
I notice you rarely use the stance is it just not worth to use or are you just so much better than the people you’re playing against that you don’t need to use it?
