1: In Finale, I transcribe the song onto sheet music by ear, manually placing the notes, articulation, etc. Depending on how creative I'm feeling, I usually don't try too hard to get the notes and rhythms precisely accurate; I do what sounds best, trying to make it sound good as an independent song. Once that is finalized, I export the result as a MIDI. (The sheet music is ready by this point.)
God I love this cover! I notice every note and how this song has so much detail; I have many favorite piano pieces, but I think it's safe to say this is my favorite brony piano cover. Thank you for putting this together, as well as for making the magnificent additions to it.
Ya'know, this kind of stuff is a great change from all the fast paced metal and rock or dubstep and techno you always here from the brony community. You sir have earned my sub.
3: I put the WAV into another FL Studio project and put Maximus in the mixer master channel. I then master the song with multiband compression (to make the accents less jarring), amplification (because loud is better), and soft saturation (to avoid clipping from the amplification). Then I render it to an MP3 at the highest quality, and the result is what you hear in the video. I really ought to make a tutorial at some point.
I know this version is kinda more "claner", but I also play piano and I think... computers will never be better than real people. I liked more the older version, because it was natural. I think when you want piano sound - you should just have the natural piano sound, with real strings to punch. Just my opinion, sorry for any grammar errors, I come from Poland. P.S. I love you Firelance. For making this piano arranged
2: I import the MIDI into FL Studio and load TruePianos into the channel(s). Then I add reverb and tweak the note velocities, VST settings, volume, and tempo events to make it more human-like. (In this case, I also made separate projects for the alternate versions.) I then export the result to a high-quality WAV file. I also export it (each project) as a MIDI; this is the one (ones) that is put up for download.
Hey man, glad you're back! Is is still possible to do requests? I would love to hear some of the FiW songs like Gypsy Bard, Pinkie's Brew and It'll Be Ok if it is possible. :)
GIMP can view the individual pages as layers. You will however have to individually save each layer individually. I do have all 8 pages in .png format if Firelance wants to have a .zip as an alternate download or something.
I would provide it in PDF, but I don't know how to make one. I can only export in TIF... However, I assure you, all the pages are there. Try viewing it with a different program.
Is there some kind of non-TIF format we can get the sheet music in? It only shows the page at the end (for the impossible, possible, and short hands versions) and obviously that doesn't do anyone any good.
On my channel ( no advertising) but I have the same thing, yet I have the full song of original sheet music if anyone wants to go there and download it
Hey, my percussion instructor and I are doing this piece for my school of the arts senior concert (I'm treble on xylophone and she's bass on marimba. It's sick) and I was wondering if I had to actually ask for your permission or if you wanted me to send you a video of us performing it when we actually complete it in a few months?
There is no music more beautiful this...

If I may, You Sir got some skill.
Keep it up!
4:34 minutes are too short to listen this awesome music.
This music should be played for at least one hour!
the beginning was perfect! Rest was awesome!
I covered this a little while back. I can't wait to play it again at "Fiesta Equestria!" in a couple days!
This is just wonderful!
You're right, the internet is one shithole of a crazy asylum.
Nothing could change that.

I don't know if my left hand can play most part of the midi or sheet music is very hard
I checked; I'm not seeing what you're describing. The first note in the bass clef should be a whole note D.
Download links have been fixed, if anyone was waiting on that.
The MP3 is definitely still wrong :(
@@TomsodM Fixed
@@Phoenyxcaller Thank you!
It's a good thing my earphones work REALLY well.
This reminds me of the song E.S. Posthumus - Unstoppable
So...awesome ;~;
Will give this to uncle to play... I play flute, and starting bass guitar

+tylmansfist That sounds awesome! Go for it. And sure, I'd love to see a video.
+Firelance2014 update, I'm now on page 6. It's a great piece.
This is way to short, needs to be about 20% longer.
pls fx midi (possible version)
Fixed. Wow, that's been broken for like, 10 months now, and nobody ever told me!
Dude seriously, look in the fucking description before asking.
Sure this isn't stolen from Weimtime?
