The amount of psychic energies=Shakti shifting at this time:The Piscean age into the Aquarian age-Kali yuga into Dwarpara yuga, the changing of the earths magnetic field & its increased unbalanced rotational spin is quite a difficult time to track a consistently stable mental equilibrium.
One of the stories of Parma hansa Yogananda that I enjoyed was when he lived in Encinitas in a beauteous donated ashram, he realized one morning that he was becoming too acclimated to his afternoon lemonade. He told his helpers never to bring him lemonade from then on. too bad the power mongers of earth can't set aside their greed and lust for money and conquest in such an Enlightened manner.
One must understand that in P Yoganandas' past life as William the Conqueror, he was the host & participant in many sumptuous feasts & banquets. He had an attraction towards food & indeed became quite corpulent. As P Yogananda he did early in his life feel drawn to love food & later was invited by countless devotees to feast at THEIR HOMES.Declining these offers would be an act of disrespect to those devotees.
7:10 We can already define ourselves as not coming from a nation. Since 2012 when people ask me where I'm from, I answer: "From my mother." Because that is the truth of where this physical body emerged, and women deserve this acknowledgement, that humans emerge from the mother's body, and not from the concept of an artificial nation created by humans that control through military force. The answer that I come from my mother unites everyone and doesn't leave any sense of class, creed, achievement, hierarchy... I still prefer it to the Passport of Self-Realization, which still feels like indoctrination into some kind of special club. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and perspective.
25:30 ... how independent the individual is in their own magnetic self-definition... Some people are completely the passive result of the world in which they grew up.
What you describe as the period after the Nadir from Kali into Duayuga... The 1900s is being called the Age of the Anthropocene with the use of oil and industrialization. But there is argument now that the Anthropocene began in the 1800s with the use of guano.
8:10 - I don't agree with the dumbbell analogy. I think there still are a lot of people in the middle. We just don't hear about / get exposed to them very much. The news media focuses on the extremes - I guess they think it's more "sensational." I believe, or at least want to believe, that there is still a silent body of "reasonable people."
Of course, most people prefer not to take a strong stand or get involved beyond the needs of their day to day life. Circumstances, however, often make that impossible. In war zones, for example, or in times of famine or epidemics of disease. Or earthquakes. Ordinary life gets interrupted and people get to find out of what stuff they are made, whether altruistic or selfish, fearful or brave. We haven’t yet come to the point where the majority of people on the planet are personally and profoundly affected, except in comparatively isolated situations. Unfortunately, Paramhansa Yogananda frankly stated that this freedom to live a normal life may become - at least for a time - taken away from the majority of people. Consider nuclear war, for example. None of this is very pleasant to contemplate. But I don’t think a great master like Yogananda would have made these kinds of predictions unless it was true. Certainly, even without the predictions of a master, common sense shows us that the world is becoming increasingly insecure. Authoritarian leaders are gaining power. Climate itself is shifting and no one knows for sure what the consequences of that will be. I would prefer to think as you do, that the middle will hold, but there is much evidence, plus the words of the master, that say otherwise. Not because those “reasonable people” will become unreasonable, but because forces greater than theirs will gain ascendency, at least for a time. I believe there is a divine force behind all that happens, on this planet, and everywhere in creation. Difficult though it is, at times, to endure what comes, and to hold onto faith, I’ve found that the hardest challenges often lead to the greatest victories. Yogananda said the purpose of the difficult times he predicted is to correct serious imbalances that have crept into our modern life: greed, atheism, selfishness. After the tumult settles, he said, there will be less wealth and much more peace and happiness than the world enjoys now. We shall see.
@@ashanayaswami Yes, I definitely agree that in certain places and times you would likely find a much more polarized situation. You're completely right about what specific circumstances can bring about. I was referring mostly to the "general state of my own nation," which is the United States. Often watching the news I feel like it wouldn't be unreasonable to expect civil war to break out at any moment (I'm indulging in a little hyperbole there), but then what I see around me when I go about my life paints an entirely different picture, and I almost never actually anyone at either of those far extremes.
Thank you so much for this video. Very informative and answers a lot of my own personal questions and findings. I have a question here, how does this support the ancient Hindu texts about Kali Yuga and the final incarnation of Lord Vishnu as Kalki marking the end of Kali Yuga. Does this mean we have surpassed that stage and living purely in an ascending cycle of Planet Earth?
In the Indian system, the four ages, called Yugas, and their defining characteristics are Satya (Consciousness), Treta (Thought), Dwapara (Energy), Kali (Matter). The Indian understanding, too, has been corrupted (relatively) recently because of the confusing effect of the lowest age, Kali Yuga, from which we have only recently emerged. As Kali Yuga descended, much subtle knowledge was lost and people came to believe that Kali would last hundreds of thousands of years, rather than the mere 1200 which is the true ancient tradition. That error was recently corrected by the great yoga master, Sri Yukteswar -- Guru of Paramhansa Yogananda. He explained how the misunderstanding arose and asserted the correct explanation again. Although the manifestation on the material plane is to affect the overall consciousness on the planet, the cause of the cycle itself is physical. Our sun has a dual -- an assertion only recently gaining credence among main stream astronomers -- which creates for the sun an elliptical orbit which takes our whole solar system closer, and then farther away, from the center of our galaxy. Enormous rays of energy emanate from that galactic center. As our sun -- and with it, the Earth -- move toward that center, the increased rays of energy gradually uplift the vibration of the whole planet. The highest age occurs when we are at the closest point of the orbit in relation to the galactic center. Then as we follow the sun's orbit away from that center, consciousness begins to decline, until the nadir is reached, the lowest point of Kali Yuga descending. The result of this ever-repeating orbit toward, and then away from the galactic center, is to create a repeating cycle of ascending and descending Yugas. The higher ages have longer duration than the lower ages. And each has a period of transition, of comparable shorter and longer duration before the new Yuga properly begins. In both Satya -- the highest age, nearest to the center -- and Kali -- the lowest age, furthest from the center -- the ascending age and the descending age follow one another. Satya ascending is followed immediately by Satya descending. Kali descending is followed immediately by Kali ascending. This corrects another misunderstanding that set in during the last Kali Yuga, that Kali is immediately followed by Satya. Given the actual cause of the Yuga cycle, there is no basis for this belief. The entire cycle is 24,000 years. Including the transition times, Kali is 1200 years, Dwapara 2400, Treta 3600, Satya 4800. Transition times at the beginning and end of every Yuga vary in a similar way. Kali has 100 years of transition, Dwapara has 200, Treta 300, Satya 400. In recent times, the nadir of Kali descending was 500 AD. The transition out of Kali began in 1600, the transition into Dwapara began in 1700. Dwapara Yuga proper began in 1900. Not only consciousness changes, but also technology, and every other aspect of life, as mankind becomes aware of more and more subtle forms of energy in Dwapara, and more subtle aspects of reality itself as we move into Treta (Thought) and Satya (Consciousness). Just think how everything in our world has changed since Dwapara Yuga began. And we are only at the beginning. And there are two Yugas to come even more advanced that Dwapara. It is important to note, however, that the Yugas are only the backdrop for the real drama of creation, which is the gradual expansion of individual consciousness to Self-realization. That individual drama happens in the same way to the same degree in every age. The physical conditions on the planet vary according to the Yuga, but the human potential for God-realization remains the same. And great masters and avatars appear in every age. Krishna incarnated at the end of Dwapara descending, just as Kali was coming in. Jesus incarnated in the depths of Kali Yuga, which got even worse for 500 years after his crucifixion. When the soul is in the astral world, it has countless planets to choose from and incarnates where conditions would be most favorable. Not favorable for an easy life, but where conditions are most beneficial for the expansion of consciousness. You don't advance individually just by hanging out on one planet till the highest age arrives! If your consciousness isn't advanced enough for a high Yuga, or your karma requires the challenge of a lower one, you'll go to a planet that matches your need.
Just say third eye open you see the future and avoid bad stuff if you like or like jesus go to his dead for a teaching, and change your future to your benefits like magic your benefit and others, the best results for that you need the best people and the best people become the next masters and go on, a yogui is the best of the best of life, pure love and knowing the future and past and the real and why, masters are the intelligence natural that is here now possible to all. The ultimate intelligence, you need the ultimate compassion and the ultimate power you need pure raw love, and there is no separation, thank god we are in the end of kali yuga...
Great presentation, Outstanding explanation ,thank you 🌍🗣100%

@@ashanayaswami thank you so much for this detailed explanation 🙏
My only questuon is, what happened to the Kalki avatar if we are now in the early stages of Dwapara?
if the Yuga cycle is 24000 years and the nadir is thought to be approximately 500AD, then would we not be in Kali Yuga for another almost 1500 years?
She said that the destructive parts of the cycles are shorter.
can someone tell me which is the book on yugas she is referencing? thank you
