- I don’t know why but recently I’ve noticed an increase in Todoroki players in My Hero Ultra Rumble. As a result I’ve been getting frozen left and right and have found myself finding his gamma skill more and more annoying. Which is exactly why today I’ll be using Todoroki to annoy my opponents. Whenever you down a toga while she’s transformed it doesn’t give you the sign that says “down” it just shows the animation of her going down

Getting 100 to 0 in a split second by Todoroki’s ice and his teammates while frozen is always a fun time.
Nothing look a good ole touch of death to make you take a break
The issue with shoto ice stun compared to the rest of the cast is of how safe it is like denki if he stuns he will be forced stationary same with ibra and shiguraki and then even without a team if you mash alpha you still can Break shields instantly
Yeah all the other stuns require them to get close and in cases of shigaraki and Kaminari use up their mobility tools. For Todoroki you can shoot it out or just move with it and if you miss you can just keep sliding away. Definitely a much safer option then the others
Todoroki is fine with damage and utility. I would say though that the issue with his ice is that not only does the hit box linger, half the time, it hits you when you aren't even near it. I feel they should adjust the hit boxes on it and as per your suggestion, probably rework the stun system a bit.
Yeah I’ve definitely been frozen before when the ice did not touch me which is kinda wild 😅
Simple make the ice have to hit you twice in order to freeze you in the first place

6:26 There seems to be a bug when Toga dies when transformed that the 'DOWN' notification doesn't show. You actually killed her with your alpha at that point it just didn't say it.

Been having fun with todoroki and realized that a lot of people don't know todoroki's gamma goes THROUGH his beta when you shoot it. So you can freeze people from behind your wall and freeze other todorokis from behind their own walls. Which is really funny since your alpha doesn't go through the betas of other todorokis but your GAMMA does. (also when riding his gamma it goes through kendo shield)

Yeah it can go threw her shield but to be honest all the kendo needs to do is let the shield go and just dodge to the side sense you can't do a 360 degree turn

It feels kind of unfair that Todoroki is allowed to have so much, between the range, the mobility, and the absurd stun on top of it all. I'd still rather fight him than Iida or All Might, but I do think his ice needs to be looked at. There were a few times it froze me when it really shouldn't have
Yep at the very least they need to look into his ice slide hitbox because it’s finicky. And I definitely agree with you, I’d rather fight Todoroki then get kicked over and over by Iida

Nah after rewatching it I hit her with a fireball but when she’s transformed it doesn’t say downed so it just looked like she fell over 🤣

Bro does indeed do it all. Damage, mobility, good at close quarters and ranged combat, has a stun. Only thing he lacks at this point is an instant revive

My ears are still hurt because we broke the Soundbarrier and that hurt you know. Aunt total rokie. It's overpowered because my brother won a match with him.

Man, so many people keep complaining about how Todoroki needs a nerf. Maybe its bias speaking being a Todoroki main, but I honestly think he’s fine as is. There are way more other characters that I feel outshine him easily that definitely need to be reworked just a bit.
Nah I mentioned in the video I don’t think he needs a nerf. He’s one of my favorites so I’m definitely biased but I’ve just been coming across a lot of Todoroki’s lately and found myself getting annoyed by the freeze
I’m sorry but if you watched this video and think he don’t need a nerf it’s the bias talking bro😭 the dude literally has a 3-5 second stun that not only does dmg but you can stack the damage WHILE attacking while the other character is stunned. And god forbid you have teammates. As the video explains, you literally get T’KOd if that catches you. The dmg stack is Jst unfair.
@@Realize2608 Sorry, but no. As a person who plays Todoroki, I can say with full confidence that his freeze mechanic is only useful at max level. Early game Todoroki is never a walk in the park, especially when you have lobbies of characters who completely invalidate two of your three moves. Iida, Kirishima, Momo, Shigaraki, Bakugo, Deku, All Might, Endeavor, Tsuyu, Uraraka, and Kendo are just a few who completely invalidates his entire moveset, especially up close. His ice wall is practically useless unless its leveled up to make it harder to break through, and maybe its just from my own personal experience, but Todoroki’s gamma move recently has been super buggy where people do not get frozen at all, or perhaps there are times where opponents hit a lingering hitbox and freeze somewhere completely out of my line of view, so I can’t capitalize on it. That’s what’s been happening to me in recent matches I have played.

I mean.. idrk who you're fighting early game as todoroki but for me I feel like an unstoppable monster early game as him.
Nvm you literally said who you fight early game as him but half of those feel easy ESPECIALLY early game shigaraki as todoroki.
@@Realize2608 yeah I’ve been seeing others say stuns as a whole need to get looked at. That’s why I said if they did anything they could just make it based on hits instead of timing to avoid touch of death scenarios.

Keep playing with him and you’ll improve! I’m biased because he’s a favorite character of mine from the anime/manga but I think he’s definitely worth learning
Idk if this ist an unpopular Opinion, but imo Shoto ist easily the best Character in the Game. Its the character I mainly Play for ranked If I, you know, wanna delete other human beings, and after playing him for a few Dozen Games I felt Like "Yea...., this is so unfair and stupid". The Iceslide ist lowkey the best move in the entire Game, it has basically everything to am extremely broken extent with Movement, range and especially damage, He has in general range (Like....goooooood range) and He has good defensiv's. Once I Hit Gamma lvl 9 it usually results in a win because No one in this Game can stay in the Air forever, and If they try to I shoot them down, every singe Hit does so much damage. I could Go on, but I think my Point ist kinda clear. His only issue ist really ist vertical Mobility but that has never been a huge Problem for me, His only Problem comes with Bakugo because you cant really Chase him
Yup, Todoroki is definitely very strong rn with his stun, shield, and great damage and range. Only lackluster thing is his special action

I really only like him because the ice sliding around on that is probably one of my favorite things to do
Honestly same it’s a lot of fun especially at lvl 9 when the ice slide is bigger and last longer

forget the nerf on deku and bakugo but fix shoto ice slide when not on my screen i get ice more then 1 once the extra 50 to 70 dmg at the same time with same slide and it take 10 years to get out of it and then its like shig B a big area you dont have to touch wave ice to get stung

Nah I feel the exact same way. Especially when the ice doesn’t really touch you or only hits you a tiny bit because then you just get melted 😭
