It is taught in one of the sutras: "Vairocana Tathagata is the Teacher of the flower store world; Since Buddha Amitabha is the transformation body of Vairocana Buddha,He is no different from Vairocana Buddha - therefore,it is said that ( Amitabha Buddha is Sudhana's ) original teacher. And also Nagarjuna received the Avatamsaka sutra from the dragon palace under the sea. Namo Vairocana Buddha 🙏🙏🙏
Cried a little. My life juggling with Epilepsy. Thank you, Vairochana Buddha. Feel free from any obstacle. I say the words easy. Namaste, Buddha Weekly. 🙏
First of all, Taking Refuge in the Three Jewels is the ultimate protection. Reaffirming this often -- and before any of the practices mentioned below, is vital. Our Refuge and Protection is always the 3 Jewels: Buddha, Dharma and Sangha. Chanting the King of Prayers, which includes Refuge and Dedication of Merit, together with any of the mantras below is helpful (because it reaffirms your 3 Jewel Refuge and you make offerings to the 3 Jewels, etc.) It's hard to advise you, specifically, without knowing more, and it depends on lineage and tradition, but the mostly widely suggested would be Green Tara (she brings five activities, including wrathful), or her specialized form as Black Tara. Also 21 Taras, especially in the original Sanskrit, is very helpful, as there are several black and red Taras who wrathfully help (wrathful just means actively or powerfully) and or White Taras who pacify -- supress the negativity. All Taras are protective Mothers and they're safe to work with as they are fully Enlightened and motherly. ( (Of course if you have your own special practice or Yidam, that's normally first recommended, since you are closest to your Yidam or "heart" deity. If you're Yidam is Avalokiteshvara Guanyin, you might choose to practice Namo Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattvaya -- Avalokiteshvara promised to protect any who call his name in Sutra: th-cam.com/video/1_PA-C7dJd0/w-d-xo.html ) Tara also does not require special permission or training (it's helpful, but not mandatory), while other practices might require transmission and training (mandatory). We have Black Tara mantra and Green Tara mantras as well as the 21 Taras Dharani in Sanskrit here: 21 Taras Dharani here: th-cam.com/video/0XlYma5HW_Q/w-d-xo.html Green Tara Mantra here: th-cam.com/video/KKPq1xgF-_Y/w-d-xo.html&t Black Tara Mantra here: for 1 hour here: th-cam.com/video/bcXvmaL5IIQ/w-d-xo.html&t White Tara (for pacifying ghosts and black magic) -- visualize as Zasep Rinpoche instructed in the other video below: th-cam.com/video/KNEFX3Vv7Zk/w-d-xo.html There is a special practice, too of White Tara with the five circles of protection (the video says "for long life and health" but that result is due to Her pacifying all evil around you, increasing your life force and pacifying negativity), which we have a video on as taught by Ven Zasep Rinpoche -- you visualize the tent or circle of protection in five colours surrounding you as you chant White Tara's mantra: th-cam.com/video/uL2veNQonvU/w-d-xo.html ) The most extreme measure is Lion Faced Dakini. Usually you want teacher guidance if you're seeking her very wrathful protection, unless you are a senior practitioner with experience with other powerful and wrathful Enlightened Deities. Even her mantra is very "powerful". We do have her mantra here: th-cam.com/video/sgdNuWwwNM8/w-d-xo.html&t King of Prayers (or another method or stating your Refuge in the Three Jewels and the 7 limbs of Practice) should be added to any mantra if you have time: th-cam.com/video/jjH4RrQBdjg/w-d-xo.html&pp=ygUPa2luZyBvZiBwcmF5ZXJz Of these, Black Tara is almost certainly the most powerful and safest, since she is Tara, our Enlightened Mother, and an mother who will do anything to protect her children. I hope this helps. In kindness, BW.🙏🙏🙏
Kinda unrelated but in the Migtsema chanting video you mention another Tsongkhapa mantra, so i wanted to ask what the benefits of that mantra are and why I can chant it instead of the Migtsema? Is it more powerful or what?
Dear Dharma Friend, I'm not sure what you're asking (do you mean this Vairochana mantra or are you referring to a different video? Seems like the latter) As far as the different mantras, Dharanis and name praises go, it depends. Some mantras supplicate specific activities. Some are general praises (Name praises). I think you might be referring (but let me know) to the Migstema as one mantra and Lama Tsongkhapa's name praise mantra as another. So, if so, the Om Ah Guru Vajradhara Sumati Kirti Siddhi Hum is more or less thought of as his "name mantra or guru mantra" just like the Dalai Lama's name mantra OM AH GURU VAJRADHARA BHATTARAK MANJUSHRI VAGINDRA SUMATI JNANA SHASANA DHARA SAMUDRA SHRI BHADRA SARVA SIDDHI HUM HUM. They are similar. They're name mantras. When you use them, you are connecting with Lama Tsongkhapa or the Dalai Lama in various ways, as explained in the tranmissions and teachings. Your own Guru likely gave you his or her name mantra during empowerments at some point. This connects you to your Guru. You are praising and connecting and offering to your Guru (whether it's the Dalai Lama, or Lama Tsongkhapa or your own personal teacher, or Guru Rinpoche) The Migstema is more of a Dharani Mantra, similar to the 7 lines or Praise of Guru Rinpoche. They are both very profound. The Migstema invites the three great Bodhisattvas as Lama Tsongkhapa, so it has an extra layer of profondity. (Likewise, Guru Rinpoche's practice invites the activity of the five Buddha Families.) (These are explained in their respective videos on our channels). So, the answer is -- you do both. When you undertake Lama Tsongkahapa Practice, you after Refuge and the 7 limbs of practice, you likely would chant the Migstema in a celebratory tone, understanding you are invoking the three Bodhisattvas of Compassion, Wisdom and Power and they manifest as the glorious Lama Tsongkhapa. Later, you'll likely do at least a mala of the name mantra Om Ah Guru Vajradhara Sumati Kirti Siddhi Hum. It's not either or, it's likely a "both situation." This is because we're trying to bring the three aspects of practice into our lives -- wisdom (Manjushri), compassion (Avalokiteshvara) and the Power of Enlightened Activity (Vajrapani) -- and we acknowledge that the teacher of these methods who transmitted this to us, was none other than Lama Tsongkhapa, a truly Enlightened Being. I don't know if that helps or even answers your question, but for me it would be "all of the above" not either/or. The compassion heart has room for more:-) In kindness, BW
We have several series on the go, and we're trying to release one in each series regularly. Buddha Family should be soon, Padma family as well, but in between those we have the Great Cloud of Blessings Wangdu (Padma 9 deities) four more mantra videos for the Great Dhyani Buddhas (four to go), and the Jambhala mantras, plus the remaining two Jambhala documentaries, the Red Taras mantras, and several Sutras, and other topics. It's a fairly busy schedule cued up for our very busy volunteers:-) Buddha Family should be in the next few weeks. In kindness, BW
