Awesome job again. So perfect with respect to playing 1v1 ranked games. Build order were ok to just play against AI. This helps a lot for multiplayer regarding walling and still balancing the economy and build. Keep em coming
Please also make a guide on how to follow up on this build order? Generally, after I click up to the castle I end up with 800~1000 food by the time I reach, and not as much wood. How would things change if 1. you need to follow up with 3rd range 2. 3 tc boom and defend
I would say that the new m@a meta is around 20-21 pop right now, but if you're new to the game you can start with this build. You can go with 1 less villager on this same build if you lure deer with your scout, and with Roman eco bonus, potentially could go 20 pop.
Glad they help! To answer the first question: I'd generally start attacking with around 6-8 archers with fletching to really lay the pressure on and also to have decent kill potential with your rush. However, if you're M@A are kept alive and are still putting on pressure, then it can be worth it to send a couple archers forward early to pester vills that are trying to repair/wall the damage from your M@A
@@HumzaCrumza That makes a lot of sense. I really need to practise this build, I struggle with the multitasking (for example I focus too hard on keeping the m@a alive and meanwhile I idle my TC or something).
So I walked a little later in this vid for two primary reasons: 1. I feel as though this build order (with a generic, no eco bonus civ) is a lot less flexible since you need every resource you can get to hit the enemy with a good timing 2. Since you are on the offensive probably before your opponent hits feudal, you can afford to wall your base slightly later I still think I could have done a much better job walking though!
Good stuff. As a returning player after a ~20 year AoE hiatus this is exactly what I was looking for. SUBSCRIBED!
This is a really well done video, thanks for the quality of the explanation!
Works out well, good to follow and enough time to take notes.
Love your build orders vids! Pure quality. Thanks for the effort!
Anytime :)
I like those spring colors

Great vid!
Thank for the video.
Can anyone confirm if this still holds up in current meta or not I would like to try this with the Romans (I’m kinda new to the gam)

In Scout B.O, you was fully walled. Why u dont in this B.O?
