And wing’s clarity is enhanced by the video, it’s harder to hear that live. I think the main issue is that wing had the wrong strategy for this battle. I agree that Wing had the wrong strategy with _this_ particular sound system as his sounds weren't coming through as well, and Kaji's messiness was supplemented by the bass boosted nature of his sounds.

The difference is that the sub is seriously boosted, so pitch and level inconsistency from Kaji is covered by his sub, so it's harder to tell that it is quieter or not as clean compared to other moments of that same sound. I agree though that the audio system should be a bit more balanced next time.

Kaji just hit different live and his routines were designed to be high-impact battle routines, and he executed them extremely well. His gabber hardstyle beats are supposed to sound heavy and distorted, hence the lack of cleanliness (it's a big part of the style). There isn't anyone doing it like this either so he gets huge originality points, just like Wing does with his unique approach. I think Wing could've taken this battle if he'd just added a little bit more of a battle dynamic to his rounds. Maybe a counter, maybe some more crowd engagement, maybe 20-30 secs of high impact beatbox - I dunno. He was just a little too "chill" in this one considering the way Kaji was going so hard. There was a notable volume and power difference between the two live that these videos are not taking into account whatsoever which will skew many viewer's opinions in favor of Wing more than the live environment would dictate.

However, during live performances, the vibes are split 50-50. Some enjoy Kaji for its powerful beats, while others prefer Wing for its simple and enjoyable sound.
