My ninth grade teacher kicked me out of class when I corrected her broken Spanish. I'm Peruvian/Puerto Rican. My issue was writing, not speaking. So when she kicked me out, I went to the principals office and complained needless to say, they gave me the 4 yrs of language credits for making a point. I didn't have a native Spanish speaking teacher, so she would mispronounced a lot of words (ex Rojo said rojoe). She hates me for correcting it and helping kids to read and pronounce words better . While I never really learned how to write my own language, I still forget my accent marks on some words, but I spent 6 months in Peru, which was fun.
Meanwhile, me a native Spanish speaker from Puerto Rico was forced to take 4 flipping years of Spanish in High School, because my Counselor was shit. I could've been learning French or German!! My counselor took me out of French class on my 2nd day. I was so pissed, but no ody wanted to listen to me or my mom when we asked to put me back in French class.

Oh my god she sounds so draining
It seems to me that having someone up there who speaks spanish would help students learn it more, but she obviously doesnt think so.
I'd be embarrassed, but for the teacher.... She was probably panicking not being able to keep up 😅
I'm actually kinda proud of myself for being able to understand part of what she was saying :D my parents are Hispanic but I don't know Spanish well
No, that's not what Spanish class is for. If she needs to improve her Spanish, she should take Spanish class. End of story. 🙄 Entitled teachers.
