    Sir you have mentioned in notes at the end of the video that if a solution is feasible then it is optimal .But is it true always? we already get in unbounded solution ,where we have feasible solution but no optimal solution.

    7:01 Sir is it possible for a inconsistent system to have a feasible solution.According to me it is right since I have taken the example x1+x2=1/2 and x1,x2>=0..am I right sir??

      Yes... You have feasible region

  • @Arjunkumar-uf7zx

    Timing-9.40
    Region in 3 quadrant , is common so it's is infeasible region or no feasible region.
    Provided Xi≥0

      Feasible region means "All those points which satisfy all Constraints and non-negativity restrictions such as x_i >=0". SInce at 9:40 time, the shaded region is 3rd quadrant and it does not satisfy the conditions x_1, x_2 >=0 and hence it is NOT FEASIBLE....
      Remember, all those points which lies in the shaded region (3rd quadrant) are ONLY SOLUTIONs but NOT FEASIBLE SOLUTION......

      Watch this lecture (th-cam.com/video/fT31HmNAXF0/w-d-xo.html) to more understand the difference between "SOLUTION", "FEASIBLE SOLUTION" and "OPTIMAL SOLUTION" with several examples

      @@DrHarishGarg I watched it ,
      If X1,X2

    • @DrHarishGarg
      @DrHarishGarg  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes.... It is true.... If x1,x2

      I again ask the same thing again and again... Feasible solution means which satisfy constraints and restrictions on x1,x2. In example x1,x20.

    Doubt -
    Is Feasible region is common region in 1 st quadrant
    Or common region in any quadrant

    • @DrHarishGarg
      @DrHarishGarg  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Feasible region is not always in 1st quadrant.... It depends on the restrictions such as x_1, x_2 >=0 then 1st quadrant... If it is given as x_1 >=0, x_2
