JELLY JELLY JELLY. Oh my goodness!! I cannot pick a favourite because they are all so uniquely stunning. Great video Jason. Thank you for sharing with us!
These are fantastic! I like the biggest one best. You did an outstanding job on all of them, sir! Got a very nice setup there. Thoroughly enjoyed watching the video. I hope to one day have all the necessary stuff for cutting and polishing like you do. Your videos are very informative. Rock on 😁🤘
4:34 I'd use the word indigo for that brilliant, deep blue. Gorgeous!! And, of course...I'm jealous. The structure of that one looks like the turquoise blue one I found a year ago. After polishing, it almost looks like the coloured part has some rectangles defined within it. Just amazing!
They both look great polished!! They are just as cool as the flame seam agates !! Wish I could make it up there some day to collect a few . Beautiful rocks and beautiful locations you have there in Nova Scotia !!!!
What a treat to see these Jelly Seam Agates polished! They look so much like jelly that my mouth waters 😋 I like how you problem solve your tool limitations
Jason, I was hoping you would polish that thin slice (I think it would look amazing). Then you could maybe put a trademark on it and sell it as "Bacon Slice Agate". I'm almost drooling thinking about it, ;-).
I think it would be too thin to polish on the flat lap. I don't have a dopping station. I might put it in the vibratory tumbler. I've had success with thin slices using it.
Absolutely stunning my friend👌😍✨ You know... I've been seriously thinking about becoming an affiliate... I really want to start making things like towers and start selling my stones and the one thing I'm missing to make the dream happen is a flat lap... I really need me one. Great job on the polishing... It really turned out amazing. I should send you a metallic pencil to mark your cross sections... It won't seep into the stone at all which markers will do with certain material and it won't wash away like a regular pencil will. It's a tip I got from the club. Took me forever to find them tho... Can only seem to find them at a welding shop. If you want one let me know!
You totally should!!! Iys a great program. If you have any questions let me know, just send me a message on Instagram. The metallic pencil is a great idea. Let me look locally first and if I can't find one I'll hit you up.
The first of the two reminds me of a french pastry! With the white layer, is that a quartz layer squeezed between the coloured chalcedony and the white? looks kinda sparkly in there, really beautiful rocks :)
Thanks!!! And yes we do!! Every month or so we post some pieces to our Ebay site (Beach2Bling). I will announce the next round of postings on the channel. We are going to open an Etsy store later this year as well.
Gorgeous!!!! Great job Jason! I absolutely love the long piece and the rectangle that you cut! They came out beautifully! How long did it take in total to polish the rectangle? Thank you for sharing this and I look forward to the next adventure! Missed seeing the boys as their reactions are absolutely priceless!
I have some of those DYI polishing discs but haven’t used them yet. Do I need to wet the rock down using those? Like you did with the bigger polishing disks?
This gives me a headache.. Dude, you really need to buy lapidary gear.. Hand drill motors aren't meant to run that long. You're using construction tools on material that deserves better. I'm glad you're getting a deal on hitech, and they're a step up from the wood drill, but they are the harbor freight of lapidary compared to covington, diamond pacific, highland park.. Sell some of that incredible material and buy some real tools. Two saws, a cab machine and a vibratory flat lap would change your life.
Some people aren't in the position to purchase thousands of dollars worth of equipment. If I did this professionally...... maybe..... I'd make the investment. But why would I spend thousands when I can get the same results with construction tools? This channel shows that you can have fun in the hobby on a budget. I'm ok using the tools I use. My drill is an older one that I have since upgraded from so instead of throwing it out I use it for lapidary.
@@RockhoundingLife I would respectfully suggest that buying vintage equipment, and refreshing it, cost me less than your construction gear did, and works 100x better. I run gear, daily, that was built from 1955 - 1975 that will still be running when newer gear made with plastic needs to be recycled. The boom of old machines made post-WWII were built like brick houses, with really simple (still easy to find) parts, they are damn near immortal. It would be good video content and promote using tools safely, for the purpose they were intended.
@@Archimark1 I don't disagree with most of what you are saying. Though my diy drill set up cost less than $100. The old drill was free. I had to buy the Arbour and Diamond pads. $70 total. I have 4 active kids. I don't really have the time in my life to get into vintage lapidary restoration. I don't actually use the diy setup much anymore since I became affiliated with Hi-Tech Diamond. Sometimes it has its uses like in this video. Not everyone has the means to obtain vintage or used lapidary gear. A drill and polishing pads is easy and everyone van do it, whether they live in an apartment or have a house. I guess the main point I disagree with you on is that I don't think it's offensive to use old or super cheap construction tools to work on rocks. It can be done safely and the wear and tear on the tools isn't as severe as you suggest. I've been using that drill to polish rocks for 10 years.

Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: Wowzer!! Breath taking beauty! Best jelly sandwich I've seen! I'll take 2 sandwiches to go!!!
They turned out fantastically, so beautiful 👍💕💕💕
Thanks Marie!!!

Thanks!! I try to show on the channel that UT doesn't take much to be able to cut and polish. It can be done on a very affordable budget.

Thanks Sarah! This material is some of the nicest I have ever worked with. It really looks awesome polished in person.
* you picked my Fave as well. The transition from blue to red to blue is so unique.. Keep Finding..
Yes that blue to red is very cool! Thanks for watching!
Great job on the jelly seam agates. They turned out beautiful.
Thanks so much Em!!
I look forward to working with that material and good job on the polish!
Thanks my friend!!

Sorry, can't pick they are all beautiful. You did a great job picking and polishing. Be happy, safe and stay healthy!
Thanks as always!!!!
Love the DIY drill in vise set up. May borrow this idea for my own bench.
Dude totally! It's a bit crude but I get the best polish with it!
The find perfect my dear...wowwww
Thank you!!
those are big seam agates! i used to think that as big as they can get is the size of regular sandwich. those are big sandwiches! very nice!
Thanks!!! We have seams along the Bay of Fundy as big as 1 meter if you can believe it!!
They turned out really nice.
Thanks Jim!
Man those would make awesome cabs!
I have some that I have set aside to try just that!!
Stunningly beautiful!
Thank you very much!!
Thanks again!!!! GREAT!!!!
Thanks for watching!!
Beautiful rocks as usual!!
Thanks!!☺
Beautiful pieces, so the colors and overall shape. These polished up nice. Good work.
Thank you very much!
What fun material to work with.
It really is.
Amazing agate!
Thank you!!
Beautiful stones. Love the long one, so much cool texture and color!
Thanks so much 😊
Gorgeous!
🙏
Gorgeous! The fractured piece would be very nice just the way that it is as a specimen piece
I totally agree!
You've got some really amazing colors in those agates. Beautiful!
I love the greenish blue combo with the red and white
Very cool!
💯🙏
Very nice! I just polished one a little over a week ago that looks like an ice cream sandwich
That's cool! Nature is awesome!

Ahhhh, I was waiting for this video! These are beautiful and I’m going to have to come get some one day! Great video!
You definitely wouldn't regret it!

@@RockhoundingLife apparently aluminium tent pegs are a good stand in for the pencil - think I have some that came with a pop up sun shelter
@@sboydrocks9412 interesting!! I have some of those! I'll try it.

Yes these do look good enough to eat don't they!!
Thanks, learned a lot, beautiful stones!
Thank for watching!
Also I live in Southern Maine for reference so I've been to the most Eastern part of the United States for jasper but no luck in agates
Awesome seam agates!! Love the colors. Do you ever sell of your finds?

@@RockhoundingLife Thanks,
Let me know if and when you are selling any of your seam agates?
Wow! They look amazing! Nice one 👍
Gorgeous seams sir! Loved the video of you guys finding it! I wonder if hitech will trade me a flat lap for a kidney?
HaHa! Wouldn't hurt to ask!
@@RockhoundingLife its a little rotten so I might just be able to get a few discs
Aurora seam agate? I like that name!
Me too!

Thanks Ange!!! It took about 3 hours to polish the rectangle just because there were 4 sides.
Find a peanut butter colored rock to go with you jelly agate. Sell it in pars, lol
There's an idea!!! I think I may already have something that would work.
@@RockhoundingLife Sweet, looking forward to seeing a peanut and jelly agate sandwich. You Canadian types are so accommodating. :)
Just curious but are most of the beaches in the bay area good for agates or do I need to go into the throat to do any rock hounding?
I have some of those DYI polishing discs but haven’t used them yet. Do I need to wet the rock down using those? Like you did with the bigger polishing disks?
You can use them wet or dry but I prefer wet as it keeps the dust down.
You definitely want to use them wet as the dust that comes off is silica and will mess up your lungs. Look up silicosis.
@@lylelay you can use dry. You just need to have the proper respirator.
Pls be cautious with silicate dust particle get in lungs during cutting/ polishing.
What type of saw?
7" top cut Rigid wet tile saw
I hope the explanation will be translated into Arabic
