Front: Tusk Recon, 90/100-21. "fatty" 10psi, tube. Rear: Tusk Talon, 120/90-18. 5psi, Tubliss + Tacs Protec Half mousse. I'm around 210lbs without gear, i like the extra give of the fatty tire but I got my forks revalved so I should try the normal 80/100 size next.
@Jrod_FPV how to do like the rear tire? I was looking at getting the jx8 from irc but kinda on the fence for tires choices. I was also looking at the shinko 525 cheater
@@Elisrecoveryoffroad what type of riding do you do? I'm mostly slow, technical riding. 525 cheater is good. It lasts longer than Talon but doesn't grip as well. I really like the Talon because it's $70 compared to most similar tires over $120. I usually stretch the Talon to around 40 or 50 hours and the knobs get rounded off but it still grips well unless it's mud. I didn't know what tire works well in mud.
@@Jrod_FPV I try and ride all technical stuff but I live in Michigan so there isnt a lot of technical stuff. I ride hare scrambles once in a while and some flowy stuff.
