I’d recommend anyone wanting to get into Batman to read Batman: The Long Halloween and Batman: The Killing Joke as well; those are some great comics. Also, for anyone just wanting to get into DC as a whole, the Grant Morrison JLA run was awesome and featured the main DC heroes all teaming up together
