Both are travel pros who accompany tour groups around central Europe. They also spend part of each year back in Jen's hometown in Pennsylvania.

Oh Yeah, Plitvička jezera is a very beautiful place. I am there every 3-5 years. Never been there in the winter though. I must go once when will be a cool winter, not mild like the last one.
It's a totally different experience in the winter time! When we went in January 2015, it was like a magical fairytale with all the pristine freshly-fallen snow. And then March of 2018 with the ice storm - THAT was an adventure! Definitely be sure to give it a try in the snow!

Only 30km from my birth place. usually it's packed with tourists...not this time, I guess. Miss the country a whole lot.
Next time continue to Rastoke; only 30 odd kilometers up the road towards Karlovac. You won't regret it.
Plitvice is one of my favorite places!
We did go to Rastoke afterwards for dinner! (We have footage for a video, but I haven't edited that together yet.)

We agree, but we didn't have one at the time! We now have a GoPro; if we get back to Plitvice soon, we'll definitely use the GoPro!
Have you seen any Americans this summer? Saw Croatia 🇭🇷 is allowing 🇺🇸 passport holders in provided that they have a hotel reservation. It’s weird seeing people without masks these days and even with all these CDC precautions infections still worrisome (don’t see smiles here). Have a SFO to Rome flight on Turkish Air in September. Would be awesome to be to swim in Croatian 🇭🇷 waters as beaches here are too restrictive.
