this reminds me so much of my dad Monty. He passed away august 14 2014. He was the principle clarinet for the conejo symphony orchestra for over 30 years, and along with is practice times were times that he would "noodle" as he called it, just playing whatever came into his head. This piece sounds like his heart. He would have loved it! When I heard it I just had to share it. listen and enjoy...
This was a beautiful rendition of this charming and sunny piece. I too loved the Kitchen Garden series when originally broadcast. I was first reminded of it after a gap of 20 years, when I heard it on Classic FM. I was sad to learn that the composer, Paul Reade, died at a relatively young age. It seems so sad that I couldn’t find much biographical information about him.
I am just starting to work up this piece for my master class- I can only hope to play it as beautifully as you have! Thank you for posting this- I will use it as a template to learn by. The three of you played so sweetly together too- it was just perfect!

I've been playing this. It's so lovely. I have also listened to that Emma Johnson playing it. But she had an orchestra. It doesn't need that. I love a harp, it sounds good with you and the harp. Also, Emma Johnson lengthened the second movement, Spring and it didn't fit with my music and I got confused.
If there is ever heaven on earth it would be listening to this while walking around a place in your mind when you were happy

Lovely performance of a much under-played little suite, very nice.
Lovely piece. The harp instead of the piano is very nice. It adds a warmth to the performance.
